what are you known for?

Hi all!

There hasn't been anything posted in our DG forum in a while so I thought I'd throw out a question. I was just wondering what your DG chapter is known for at your school. Here at Butler University (in Indianapolis) Dee Gee's are known for our stellar campus involvement (we won the outstanding involvement award last sping) and winning almost every all-campus event. In the Greek system, most people would say that we are the "fun girls" who can party like rock stars. :D

The DGs at Akron are known for their long history on campus and are also known as being very diverse in their membership. We tend to take on the non-stereotypical sorority girl attitude and we are also a big influence on campus. We have recently won awards for Campus Involvement and Most Panhellenic on our campus. We placed 2nd in Scholarship and we have had a lot of success with Recruitment. :)

At Spring Hill College, we DG's are still the new girls. Since we got our charter in April of 2001, we have been pretty stellar on campus. We're mainly still seen as the good girls, the ones who always said they would never join a sorority, but found where they belonged. We aren't the beauty queens, but most people feel were are the classy girls who can throw an excellent party.

We're kind of transitioning right now. We used to be the non-sororority-type girls, but the pledge class before mine, as well as mine, is changing that. We're now one of the sororities that fraternities want to hang out with on campus. One of the Pi Kapps said that they had the most fun doing homecoming with us, and a few of the Sigma Chi's said that they were going to initiate me, because I was so much fun. I guess that's what we are now... the fun girls.
