Hey All-
My house is new on campus and are looking for some good ideas to get info out about us...events....etc. Ways to be seen on campus and relate with other houses. Do you guys have any ideas for marketing our house?

Some of the best PR is wearing your letters on campus...that is one of the very best ways to get noticed.
If you want to do an event maybe hold a philathropy...maybe have one at your house where people would have to come over. Or do some sort of fundraiser..car wash..etc.
With Rush coming up everyone should know you then! :)

Why dont you do an info table in the student center, or a showcase.

if there are other Greek houses on your street, the week before Halloween, have "trick-or-treat on greek street", have a haunted house in your house and get other houses on your street to have games & food (which u can get donated), for kids in the community, get like 300 dollars from IFC & Pan for advertisment(flyers), and set it up, it is a good promotion for your organization & the entire greek community

My chapter actually does something similar as a philanthropy event. We have a suggested donation of I think about $2 per kid, and $5 per group, and the proceeds go to our Foundation. We include the other greek houses, dorms, and other student clubs in it as well, so it promotes our name among other greeks and everyone on campus. Even if you don't use the trick-or-treat idea, any campus-wide philanthropy is a great way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Whatever the PR idea, include food in it (i.e ice cream social).
