MTV's sorority life

I was wondering what all of you think about this show?? Although it isn't a Panahellenic (spelling?) sorority, non greeks won't know that. I watch all of the episodes to just have a laugh on my way to work everyday. I was sitting on my couch the first time I saw it with my roommate who is nongreek. When they were showing SAE Pi's conversations about their "rushees" (hello? PNM's!!!) my roommate turned and asked me if "we" as in AGD sit and talk like that about everyone. Of course I said I could not talk about AGD recruitment to her, but I felt that I was put in a position that I didn't want to be in (no fault of my roommates she was just asking an innocent question). I felt that I needed to defend AGD and sorority life in general against the way it was being portrayed. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH just frustrated and needed to vent to my loving sisters!! LIEP!

There are other GC threads about this show. I haven't watched it, but I gather that if MTV doesn't make the show controversial, it prob wouldn't have the ratings it does.

Unfortunately, TV shows/movies, etc. rarely show the positive side of Greek life continously..after all, it could get boring showing sisters who are studying/going to class so that they can keep their 4.0 GPAs or doing philanthropy or sitting around the house/chapter room just hanging out playing cards/sisterhood bonding, or doing other positive things.

Curious...do they ever show the Advisors??
;) :D

I doubt they even have advisors, considering the chapter is only 6 years old and it's a local. I think they're advised by the school's greek advisors, and I don't think they would want to be shown on TV as being associated with them.
