So, I started to post here at the beginning of the pageant, to comment on the parade of countries costumes.

Forget that!

How many of y'all saw the end of the pageant, when Steve Harvey shot himself in the foot? Omigosh, the looks being exchanged! What do you think happened behind the scenes afterwards? Do you think Steve Harvey is going to need a body guard/

DH saw this on one message board: "I'll never trust Steve Harvey's top answer on Family Feud again!"


This is what happens when we don't watch "together"!

Been seeing the recap of that (didn't watch the pageant--didn't even realize it was on). Wow. That would be crushing for Miss Colombia, but congrats to Miss Phillippines. He won't be back to host next year. lol

Was Miss USA in the Top 5?

I think she was 2nd runner up?

Yes, Miss USA was 2nd runner up. And, she's an Alpha Phi!

It got even more awkward if you kept watching past the announcement when they took the crown off of Colombia's head and put it on Philippines....

It was the single most awkward and HILARIOUS thing I have ever seen on TV.

They all stood around for more a than a minute not knowing what the hell to do. Miss Philippines had to be thinking "Bitch, give me my damned crown!"

I don't think she got the sash till after they went off stage. She didn't get to make her walk down the runway. They should have scooted the 2 women OFF camera to take the crown and sash from poor Miss Colombia while Harvey explained.

Steve Harvey should have apologized to the both of them PERSONALLY then and there.

It's JUST a beauty pageant!!! Give me a cure for cancer. Now THAT is important.

The looks on ALL of the women's faces were priceless! And now Miss Germany is saying that "None Of The Girls Wanted Miss Philippines To Win Miss Universe."

Possibly. I accidentally tuned-in briefly during Parade of Nations, which was too LED-lights-in-the-background infested for my eyes so I changed the channel.

Half the costumes were not over-the-top as in previous years (I saw only costumes and women from countries beginning with letter M and letter N).

It didn't help hot and tired contestants, judges and host that the pageant was a full, weary hour longer than usual (hence host's winner announcement mistake?).

Women representing the 'same old, same old' countries were in the top fifteen again this year so don't worry, Miss Colombia will win again soon.

Wonder if contestants wore silver, white, and gold dresses simply because the pageant was near the holidays?

Seriously? We thought it was a perfect non-answer. I personally preferred Miss Philippines' answer.

The whole thing couldn't have been any better if it had been scripted.
Instant historical TV moment; just think of all the memes coming in the next few months...
