Too Many Missing Children
There is yet another missing child today in the state of Missouri. My question is what are we going to do about it?
A friend of mine, a member of Omega Psi Phi, proposed that we as BGLOs make it an initiative this year to get the children in our areas fingerprinted and registered with the local police department. I think it is a great idea. What do you think should be done? Will you be willing to do more than talk about it? |
IMO
Something just isn't right about ALL of these missing children cases. Unfortunately, the girl in Missouri was found dead. The person behind this, is supposedly apprehended.
Fingerprinting is fine (many communities have that in place), but still, IMO, we really cannot do too much about it. Another child has been abducted, but parents have to be very, very careful with their children. They have to be careful and observant of who is in their "environment". There is no sure fire way to keep something like this from happening. Basically, all we can do is talk about it. Each parent and their neighbors have to become more aware of their surroundings and not removed from one another. Maybe this will help, maybe it won't. |

Soror, I think that is a great idea. I don't know what is going on. It seems like everyday another child comes up missing. I was watching the Ananda Lewis show a few weeks ago and they were talking about a "metal chip" that can be placed under the skin of a child or anyone for that matter and it works as a tracker so that parents and authorities can know where your child is in the event they are lost, kidnapped etc. Would anyone consider this device to protect their children? |
