some Phi Mu love
 

Hi ladies,

I'm a Phi Mu, and at my campus, the Tri Sigmas and the Phi Mus fight like cats! It's crazy -- allegedly it started *years* back with some actual transgression between the two sororities, and the bad feelings were just passed down from big to little to grand little to great-grand little.... but we're by far the two best sororities on campus so I wonder if it's not just that. Seems funny that one bad thing could stick around so long.

ANYWAY. My point! I think it'd be awesome if the Tri Sigmas and Phi Mus could do something together. Anything. Just something that fosters good spirit, gets the girls in both sororities together, benefits some charity or just lets us have fun would probably make HUGE strides in patching things up. Besides, it can only make us both stronger, right?

Any ideas? I've been trying to think of what to suggest but I'd love any thoughts on what the Tri Sigmas might be interested in.

Our charity is the Children's Miracle Network, if that helps any.

Where do you go to school? VCU maybe? Anyway, I think it's awesome that you have such a positive attitude and want everyone to get along better. Perhaps you could try sponsoring an event together, or maybe since our philanthropies can be considered similar, you could do some kind of event or fundraiser for children together. (In case you were unaware, our philanthropy is play therapy for terminally ill children).

Unfortunately in my experience, once two chapters are enemies, they remain enemies. My chapter does not get along well with another chapter on our campus, and I don't think that will ever change. Although I've graduated, plus it's the summer, I still hear stories about random screaming matches between my sisters and sisters of this other sorority. But hopefully things can be different for you! Good luck!
