There are now three of us from Brenau on these boards plus an advisor from Mu. Alphagamlady, Jessica are both collegians, me (Lisa) alumna and Wendy who is the scholarship advisor. Wendy is Jessica's advisor since she is the V.P. Scholarship. Anyway, I'm glad I have had the oppertunity to meet you all. "Brenau- Gold refined by fire!"

Change in plans!!! I am now the Alum Relations and Property advisors. I guess another person wanted the Scholarship position, which is ok with me!! Ill do anything!!

PS- I am thinking of starting an Alum Chapter here in North GA...has anyone here done this before??

Actually, I am trying to get an AGD alumnae club started in Naples,FL. I have gotten a printout of all AGD's that live in this area from IHQ, but the lady that has been helping me locally(and I can't for the life of me remember what her title is) hasn't gotten back to me about what my next step is. Sorry this isn't more helpful. Hopefully I will hear something soon. If and when i do, Ican let you know.

I wonder if there is a difference in starting a Club from a Chapter? I guess they function in the same way its just a club has no local chapter??

I was trying to contact some of our alums at North Ga college (down the road from Mu chapter) and I was looking into starting an alum chapter, since I just recently went alum myself. Wendy, Property Advisor? What exactly is the Property officer? I don't remember a title like that before. Of course I've heard of Alumnae Relations office. Please keep in touch with me to let me know about some of the alums you meet (especially the ones who were there in the early 1990's). Anyway congratulations on your position there.

Property Advisor
 

Since I R 1, I'll tell you, ;)

The Property Coordinator is responsible for being the AGD contact between the chapter/EC and the school and making sure that AGD property is properly maintained. She is not the RA. She signs people in and out of their rooms and collects the Housing Agreements, if they have one. There's some other stuff, but that is about the jist of it.

The Property Coordinator/Advisor is an EC position. I had to sign the Housing contract between Gamma Tau/AGD and the college along with the President and Prop Coordinator. We also had to update our Resident contract for the collegiates so I was involved with that..involved some long distance phone calls, lol.

If you don't have a house, things can go alloott smoother for the Property Advisor ! ;) :D

Lynn, I think when I was there Property was under House Chair duties. I guess that's why I did not know of the term Property Mgr.

Hey! I was so excited to see a post just toward MU! We had such an exciting year last year...quota+plus 2...leadership award...and just all-around great sisterhood. I also just got exciting scholarship news today, but I hate to tell before I actually tell the chapter...but Wendy, you will find out at the first E.C.

Anyway, our recruitment has been pushed back a month...so keep us in your thoughts and pray for us an excellent recruitment the first weekend of October!
