"She never owned a pair of blue jeans"
 

An obituary in the paper this week quoted the husband: "She was an elegant woman who never owned a pair of blue jeans."

I think this woman missed a lot of life.

My husband only wears jeans about once a year!! I don't understand this because I wear them practically everyday!!!

depends on her age...I never saw either of my grandmas in slacks, EVER, let alone jeans.

but it is a rather odd thing to put in an obituary....I hope they don't put in mine "she owned enough makeup to prettify a jumbo jet full of transvestites."

My grandmother has never worn a pair of jeans in her life, i'm actually not sure if she's ever even worn PANTS! In all my 22 years of life, I have never seen her in pants. She was raised in a strict southern family... maybe it's something about those of that age.

There are certain ladies who just don't wear jeans for various reasons, including figure issues. :p

I hadn't worn them for 15 years until I purchased a pair this spring.

I don't think it's odd that she never owned a pair of jeans (I DO think it's odd they mentioned it in her obituary)

But then again, I just bought my first ever pair of sneakers about 15 minutes ago :D

I really love to wear long skirts and dressed because it makes me look thinner. I think dresses flatter your figure moreso than jeans. Just my 98 cents worth.

I saw the same quote but it wasn't in a regular obit. It was a human interest type article about a lady who, for years, had served as a wardrobe consultant to many fashionable ladies around Atlanta. The article did say that although she didn't wear jeans, she wore very nice jogging/exercise suits, lol!:D
