Learned lesson...

So if I made a mistake in hiking on private property, was charged, pleaded not guilty, did community service hours and after 6 months, case will be dismissed ....will this prevent me from being accepted to university sorority?

If the case will dismissed it won't show up on your record, no? I would be more concerned with your grammar, honestly.

It will, as it is not expunged.

College applications ask about this, so it could be an issue with college acceptances, but it probably wouldn't come up as part of sorority recruitment.

Just to be clear, you were charged, pleaded not guilty, were found guilty and then were sentenced to community service, yes? You wouldn't have community service hours and an offer for a case dismissal if they didn't think you were guilty or you didn't agree to a plea bargain, right?

At any rate, for me personally, a trespassing charge for hiking on private property isn't a big deal (unless you "hiked" onto a secure military base or the White House lawn or something equally as foolish). Like Sciencewoman said, it shouldn't come up during sorority recruitment.

But for your own sake, stay on the right side of things from now on, ok? :)

Thank you! Yes, it was stupid- it was a trail that went from a park to adjacent private property, and my "friend" insisted it was fine. (It was a legitimate trail 6 months prior).
I pleaded Not Guilty , facts sufficient, but it was a deferred decision, thus 20 hours community service, and will be dismissed after 6 months of "no more mistakes".
I am glad to hear it will likely not be an issue. It was truly a very one time regrettably event.

Thank you!
