Wearing Letters pt 2
I wear my letters every where I go just about. Are there some places that it's somewhat innapropriate?
Here's some questionable places: Church WHen I referee soccer (in the middle of games of course) Parties Family events Well, when do YOU personally not wear letters? The big thing I want to know is about parties. Someone told me not to wear letters during open invite parties. What's ur take? |
My only rule is not to wear them when I'm out drinking.

The only parties where I wouldn't see a problem with wearing letters would be your own parties hosted at the house, because if there are any negative connotations formed by guests or people visiting, it will happen no matter whether you are wearing letters or not. It's not like someone will forget where the party is taking place.

Parties... I wouldn't wear letters to a party unless it were clearly advertised as being dry. Such parties were extremely rare when I was an undergrad.
Church... Letters are too casual to wear to religious services - but your badge is another story. Particularly during rush, you'd see a lot of badges at campus religious services. |
-Parties
-Church -Out drinking |
The Church I go to when i can get out of bed on sundays on time has casual service in the summer. People wear t shirt jeans whatever. So yeah i would wear my letters there. Haven't been in like two years. I don't wear them drinking to parties.

we have a big no-no of wearing letters while partying...that include lavaliers for girls and anything that displays letters....i heard a rumor though that one unamed chapted at our school makes their new pledges wear their letters for the first time while drinking in a private xyz soror. party...

I would wear letters whenever it's appropriate to wear casual clothes since my only clothes w/ letters are sweatshirts or t shirts and stuff like that. Like some people have said.. some churches have gone to more casual services... so it'd be cool to wear whatever. Never where there's alcohol... that's about the only "rules" I really follow.
