Band, Orchestra, French Club, Key Club...

DeltaSigStan 07-20-2002 06:24 PM

Advanced Wind Ensemble (1st Chair Clarinet), Advanced String Orchestra (2nd chair string bass), Jazz Ensemble (string bass), Pit Ensemble (clarinet, bass clarinet)

Thing is, I stopped playing clarinet, string bass and violin after high school, and am now entering my 3rd yr of college. I think all my musical talent is LONG GONE.

And Referee, AYSO & USSF (Still currently Active). I hold to my entire refereeing career at least 10 yellow cards, and 6 red cards given out.

ROWDYsister 07-20-2002 07:24 PM

Interact, softball, JROTC, Spanish Honor Society, morning TV news (I loved being anchor person and hated being camera person. All the other jobs were eh...), newspaper. Newspaper was my big thing...sectional editor and devoted crazy amounts of time to it.

TrojanGirl 07-20-2002 07:29 PM

Drama, Cheerleading (Co-Captain), Band (first chair Bass Clarinet), Flag Corp (Captain), Literarty Magazine, Campus TV, Amateaur Radio, Astronomy Club, Quiz Bowl (Captain), Improv Club, and 4-H........ A lot of stuff I know, but I loved to stay busy!

Hay Lil Sis,
I know you asked your Big Sisters what they were up to in High School, but I see a bunch of your Big Brothers have answered here too. So, if you don't mind one more Big Brother adding his comments, here is what I was involved with in school.

Football: I was not very good but the team won State so I lettered!
Rowing: Sculls, fours, and eights. We went to Henley in my senior year. Lettered three years.
Rifle Team: Lettered four years, went to National Matches at Camp Perry in Junior year.
Debate Team: Two years runners up, one year state champs, made National Forensic League.
Dramatic Society: Anthony in Julius Caesar, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, the Devil in Damned Yankees, and Lord Emsworth in a pastiche of P.G. Wodehouse's Blandings Castle stories.
School Paper. reported on Prefects Council, wrote for Humor section, and general school reporting.
Corps of Cadets: School was a semi-military day prep school.
Acholytes.
Senior Prefect.

Pretty full schedule and I had to sweat to keep up the old GPA as straight A's didn't come easily. (Actually, they didn't come at all, but I did manage to rack up a reasonably good transcript.)

Ok, lets see if I can remenber:

School Sponsered:
Dance Team, Cheerleading, Latin Club, Sports Editor of the newspaper, Intramurals Commitees, danced in a few plays,

Non school related:
worked 2 jobs, kickboxing(the real thing, not the aerobics crap)

I think thats it, but it was a while go, so it's kind of hard to remember :p

douthit 07-21-2002 09:04 AM

Back in high school I was involved in:

Golf-State tournament two years

Student Government- Student Body Sec/Treasurer, Senior Class Rep

BPA-Business Professionals of America

Newspaper

Band

I thought I was involved in high school, but I've found myself even more active in college!
