Way Random Question
My friends and I were having a discussion about this the other day, and I wanted your opinion too....
When you have a random sleepover with a guy and you don't have clothes to sleep in and he lets you borrow some, do you leave the clothes there the next day...or do you take them home, wash them, and then give them back? My one friend washes and gives them back...I just found it a little strange. The rest of us just usually leave the borrowed clothes there |
To answer your question--I just leave his clothes there... 'nuff said.
|
My girlfriend always washes and returns them later.
I think that's pretty considerate. |
If you have a truly random sleepover and have no plans to see the guy again, I would think you should just leave the clothes there -- otherwise, how would you ever return them? Just show up at his place with a neat little pile of his clothes? Creepy.
However, if you know the guy a little or think you'll see him again, then it might be nice to wash and return them later. |

My answer, by the way, is if it's a friend, wear the clothes home and wash them. If it's a person you don't know very well, fold the clothes and leave them behind or, if you feel comfortable enough, just ask. |
Well, I leave clothes at my bf's place in case I sleep over and then he washes them and he leaves clothes at my place in case he sleeps over and I wash them. If a friend borrows my clothes I usually just ask them to leave them so I can wash them (I'm very picky about how my clothes are washed) but if I borrow my friend's clothes I wash them. If I were to have some random hookup I would probably leave them there (over mortification of ever having to give them back) but if it was a male friend then I would wash them, dry them, fold them and give them back in better condition than I found them.
|
I think it just depends on the guy... but if you know the guy well enough to sleep over there in the first place, and he's nice enough to let you sleep there, I'd say you could be nice enough to wash the clothes.
|
Is a sleep over sleeping on the couch or sleeping with each other?
Couch fine, each other sinful! I am imbar-assed at some of the inuendos that this brings to my feeble mind! Hell, it aint much of a wash job is it? Who cares? |
I always prefer a woman to ask me directly when she has a question about what she should do. It seems this could go either way depending on who you are and who he is and what your individual circumstances are (none of my business).
My advice to you is ask the guy what he prefers you do with his clothes. |

This is no place to try to impart your idea of morality on anyone else. Your idea of the "proper" thing to do has nothing to do with the conversation here, and please don't assume that your version of (subjective) morality is the 'correct' one. It's insulting to the original poster, very insulting. PS - when you come knocking on my door, wearing the nametag and carrying the tattered, perverse version of Joseph Smith's gold-plated revelations, I probably won't be so civil - I appologize in advance, seriously. *you, too, have no idea how much restraint went into this post . . . I need a beer. |

Oh the hilarity! As for me...if I was chilling with a guy friend and I happened to fall asleep, I would wash his clothes and bring them back. If I had a one-night stand with a random guy (would NOT happen!) I would leave them there. If I was with my man and had his clothes I would wash them. Basically, common courtesy if you know the guy. Wash 'em. But if it is a random hook-up type deal, hey who cares? Leave the clothes, it would probably be pretty awkward to see each other afterwards anyway! |
If I was able to wear her clothes there would be a serious problem, I mean I am a BIG guy LOL.
That would mean that she was as big as I am if not bigger which would make her positively gigantic as a woman . . . I would take her clothes and tip toe out of her house for fear of waking her (Coyote Arm comes to mind), scream at my friends for not looking out for me, get drug tested for Rohypnol, and then have her clothes dry-cleaned and returned to her anonymously. For girls that stay over: If I like her or have some high regard for her I would want her to take my stuff and clean it, and I would be dissapointed if she didn't. If I didn't think much of her at all, I would just have her leave it and insist on that. |
To clear up the confusion...
I was referring to a random sleepover in a non-sexual way. I meant random as in not planned (which is why you'd be borrowing clothes in the first place.) |
Don't ruin it for us;), or seem like you are apologizing to some of our more . . prim . .. members.
