Rush at Penn State...
Hello everyone!!!
I'll be starting school at Penn State in the fall and I am planning on rushing... (I'm SOOO excited!!! :D) Before I head up I just wanted to get a feel for what rush is like there... i.e., how many girls usually participate, how competitive is it, is it easy to keep up with all the other things the beginning of the school year brings (school work) during rush, and any other things you feel would be helpful. I go to school about 35 mins. east of Penn State. Here's a thread about the Greek system at PSU:

Hey there, I'm a sophomore at Penn State and a member of the Sorority Interest Group on campus working to recharter the Rho chapter of Theta Phi Alpha. I know Panhellenic Rush has already gotten underway with their information meetings and such, but I just wanted to let you know that we are out there as well. We cannot participate in Panehellenic Rush until we recolonize although we participate in most every other Greek event (i.e. THON, Homecoming, etc.). Have fun during recruitment. There will be a lot of smiling at the parties, so I hope your cheek muscles are strong! Try to put it all in perspective because it will all work out in the end. Enjoy meeting tons of great ladies. Good luck!!!

SO many of my relatives went to PSU & were in the Greek system, and I confess to doing a little partying there myself! Relax, be yourself, and have a good time during Recruitment. If you are able to relax, you will find much more than a sorority home - you'll find friends in several GLO's!! Keep us posted! honeychile |
