Are MCGLOS as strictly governed as us?
 

I know at SDSU they aren't. Any time a chapter in IFC/Panhellenic does one little thing wrong, the powers that be are on our cases. But I know of USFC GLOs that haze horribly and everyone turns the other cheek.. I even heard that one Asian frat broke one of their pledges legs, and no action was taken!

I was wondering if the Ethnic GLOs at your school are governed as strictly as the rest of us. I've never heard of Lambda Phi Epsilon getting expelled, or Nu Alpha Kappa, or Gamma Zeta Alpha.

I don't know about other campuses, but on my campus all the Greek orgs belong to the same Greek Council. Therefore, we ALL have to follow the same rules, whether we're local, national, NPC, LGLO, etc...

Yeah, MGC and NPHC orgs are governed just as strictly, if not moreso at my school. Alot of the rules affect what can and cannot be done on school grounds and since we don't have houses those rules unproportionately affect us. For instance, since we throw parties on campus.

Also, rules for membership intake are INCREDIBLY more strict than those for NPC or IFC, but that is do more to national regulations than local ones.

I don't know who you know of that broke someone's leg and didn't get face in repercussions, but on the whole our council's interpretation of hazing is MUCH more strict than yours. For instance, according to some definitions of hazing that have been applied to NPHC, the rock task you saw on sorority life would be considered hazing. And the powers that be would NEVER let an NPHC group have a pledge house..LMAO at that one. No really, ROFLMPGAO.

I could just see it now! Lord, we'd be sued, booed and abused!
