Suggestion: GLO Tattoo. Help!
I guess this is related with the GLO tattoo thread ...
Well, I'm thinking of getting GLO letters tattoo on my body. So my question is, where EXACTLY guys usually put their GLO tattoo on ... I don't want to put my letters on a "wrong" place, if you know what I mean (too feminim, or too 'open') ... Ladies, where should I put my letters on? Gents, how to be cool like you? :D So, please, my GC buddies, let me hear yer opinions ... |
I see alot of guys with their tattoos on their arms..It looks sexy to me, but not on the buttocks, lower back,or your forearm(yuk!)..I say the arm,Upper back, leg(near your ankle), that's it but I prefer the arm.My friend just got his done last week and it looks really good.

It depends on the size.
If it is a moderate size, then your arm. (My suggestion) If you are going for something large, I have seen tatts on one of your calves. |
Actually, I'm thinking of just letters, probably about the size of a quarter ... but anyhoo,
Lil_ChiO_lady, Where exactly in the arm is that? Like, outside of biseps? Left or right? (ps. is that right that right side of your body suggests some sexual appealing? eg. right earing = homosexual) Plus, I don't really have a HUGE gun (just average, hehehe), so do you think it's good on your upper arm? Hey, thanks for the suggestions .. keep it coming, guys! :D |
I know someone who has his frat's letters tattooed on his inner wrist under his watch. He jokingly referred to it as "his pulse" at one point. And suprisingly enough, it is not noticable unless he shows you.
If that doesn't appeal to you, I personally like the ankle, or a little above the ankle. My boyfriend has a Adidas-flower tat about 3-4 inches above his ankle, and it's about 1" X 1.5" (little larger than a quarter) and I love it there. I have also always said, though, that you need to SERIOUSLY consider your future when you get a tat. If you are going to be in a conservative environment later, then tat's, say, across your knuckles would likely be inappropriate. So choose location wisely. For example, I have had mine for 4 years, and only a handful of people know, and have seen it. As for a "Feminine" place, I have yet to see a single tattoo (if someone have lots, or a large flowing design this may not apply) on a guy on his pelvic region (hips, lower belly, etc) that does not make me think "hmmm". I guess my mind reserves that area for women, not men. |
A lot of the Kappa Sigs at my school get their letters tattooed on the inside of their leg right above their ankle. I think it looks cool there.

If you are just getting letters, the suggestions I like best so far are inner wrist and inner leg above ankle. I like tattoos on the upper arm (I have one and I'm a girl!) but I think that a quarter sized tattoo of letters is too small for that part of the arm. I like something a little bigger there -- and yeah, when I think of the arm I think of the outside part -- watch any NBA game because many players have tattoos there. The inner wrist and the ankle area would be VERY easy for a guy to cover at work or when necessary, although IMHO it should never be necessary to hide your tattoos. ;)
I have never heard anything about which arm is tattooed standing for anything (like sexual preference or anything else) but again, I'm a girl and so I haven't researched it. |

One of my sisters got a sorority-related thing tatooed on her lower abdomen, just below her stomach, which is easy to hide unless you wear really low-riding pants or a bikini. Another already had a large tatoo across the bottom of her back and had the same sorority symbols woven in along the top of it.

lower stomach is girlie... back/shoulder, leg, & arm are manly lol :)
