What resolutions have you kept since we are more than half through 2002?

Sorhors and Friends,

Since we are more than half way through the year 2002 what resolutions are you keeping and what ones didn't even get pass the first month? This is the time to come clean and tell the truth:) !

I must say that I faithfully go to the gym at least 4 times a week and that was one of my resolutions and I even walk to and from the gym to make the most of my exercise routine/workout.

I also pretty much gave up eating a lot of sweets because that was adding the lbs or rather defeating the purpose of going to the gym.

I haven't been so good with not telling people off when they say something that I don't agree with as well as letting some poor choice of words come out of my mouth.

Those things listed above were my original goals that I set and it seems that I still have a lot of work to do with the last two.

15 Years ago, I made a New Year's resolution to stop swearing so much. I'm VERY proud to say I've been a good student and even when I get angry I usually say things like "fudge" or something hokey to keep my wits about me:)

i finally kept one of mine

i just joined a gym and i have been working out ever since.

i will see how that goes.
my motivation is that i pay for it so i will get my money's worth!

I haven't had much luck on the job front since I moved to Dallas. So my resolution was to stick with a job for 6 months no matter how crappy it was. Well, I'm proud to say that on July 7th,2002 I completed 6 months on my current job. I am celebrating this accomplishment by actively looking for a new job:rolleyes: :D

I also started drinking more water!

Well, I've improved a great deal on my procrastinating. I actually sit down and plan ahead for things I need to do instead waiting until the last minute. The other one was controlling my temper. Well, I've failed in that department.:D

Sorhors,

I guess that between my original post and today, Tuesday, July 16, 2002 I have been given several chances to work on not telling people off and saying bad words. For example, today at the end of school (summer) one of the parents called a parent-teacher conference meeting because she wanted to know how her child was doing in Algebra and Civics. The young lady must pass these two courses to go on to the 9th grade for the 2002-2003 school year. The girl is doing fine in my class, Civics and Economics; however, she's doing poorly in the math class so I had to sit through a very long conference (45 plus minutes) when all the mother really needed was to talk with the math teacher about some strategies so the kid will pass the course. To make a long story short is that I didn't get angry with everyone in the conference, I remained calm, and even helped the counselor, math teacher, and parent come up with a few strategies to help the young lady pass. I know that I'm not there yet, however, I'm really working very hard on this resolution to keep calm and solve the problem without saying a few choice words
to all parties involved  !
