Scribe?
 

I just wanted to see if there are any current or past Scribes on the board? We are going to be having a special election for the position, and I was thinking about running for it. If someone wants to PM me or post their experiences, duties, responsibilites, etc. that would be terriffic! Thanks!

Wow why didn;t you tell me you might do it? Well you know you have my vote. I totally think you would be awesome for the job. But remember big responsibilty and you got college republicans and the rest of the sorority stuff plus are you still thinking about the semester internship in D. C? Why didn't you tell me about this???? LOL.

I was just elected scribe and so far the only frustrating thing about my position is creating a phone tree. When I passed around the paper for people to update there information some of girls did not write all their information down or correctly which means I have to continue to make updates.

But other than that I really love my position. Being scribe gives me the opportunity to be really creative with cards and letters that I send to different frats and sororities around campus. I also enjoy being able to inform the girls about different activites and events that are going on around campus. Even though I've only been on e-board for just 7 days I've really enjoyed it and I'm even thinking of getting a couple of T-shirt (1 long sleeved and the 2nd a baby T) made up with "Scribe" on the front and "Phi Sigma Sigma" on the back or vice-versa.

I am scribe and tribune.... for scribe all you pretty much do is make sure everyone has their reports in and in my chapter scribe recognizes birthdays. Scribe is also really cool cause you get to participate in initiation :D I really like being on E board and hope that you get the election if you want it. The only problem I really had was computer problems because a lot of it is done on the internet and I was having a problem sending attachments. but as long as you have a good computer you should have fun !

I was wondering if anyone knows any creative things to do for Scribe? Because I am kind of in rut for sending cards and posterboard items. This the first time in 2 years that we've had a separate scribe and tribune position, so I really want to improve our inter-greek relations. I think when the two postions are combined it makes it harder on the one person to keep up with sending out cards, posterboards, letters, etc. And plus they have to take the minutes for the meeting and get those out on time.
