Shout Out To My Wonderful Sisters!!!
 

There has been SO MUCH crap taking place lately on GreekChat and I am sad to see that lots of it has been directed at my sorority and my sisters.

So, I just wanted to shout out how wonderful I think you all are, how impressed I am with how you've handled yourself in uncomfortable situations, how you've reacted with class in the face of some VERY uncalled for personal attacks (that's you especially, Carrie!) and how proud I am to call you my sisters!

I think sisters Alfa, Anne, Anna, Mary, Mabelle and Julia would feel the same way :)

It's so good to be a DZ :)


By the way, if any of the odd people who have been spewing the aforementioned crap decide to slither onto our board and continue it here, I can and will delete your post so fast it'll make your head spin so don't bother :)

Although I think I may have missed some of the drama (although not all of it :(, I am still impressed with the way some of my sisters handle situations on GC. Whenever there is a sticky situation, whether it be directed at us, or anyone else for that matter, the DZ's on this board have always handled themselves in a classy and mature manner. So I agree, I am VERY proud to call you my sisters!!

I missed all of the completely, but would be interested in "reading up" on the situtation. I feel that it is always good to know what others are saying about you, good and bad, so that you are aware.

Attention ALL Sisters...
 

Some of you may be familiar with one of my friends and co-moderators, OohTeenyWahine. She just received the following note from UF_Pike, a person who was banned from GreekChat recently because of obscene posts and who just came back under another screenname to stir up more controversy.

It seems that he has started a PM campaign in an attempt to get OTW and myself banned from GC because we (in addition to many other people) asked that he be banned. The thing that makes me laugh the hardest is that he claims that he hasn't started this petition out of revenge. Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know because I personally don't believe in sending around Private Messages to people in order to garner support for something so ridiculous. I figured that I'd just let y'all know, flat-out, in public. Here's the note:

"Just to let you know, I have 32 (Men and Women) signatures from people on GC signing a petition that I started asking for the ban on DzRose93 and yourself. I know you will probably be allowed to come back sooner than I did, but just so you cannot have the same name again and you are banned at least once, thats all we want. I am waiting until we find enough people to get over 50 before I send it to John Hammel. By the end of this week from other members approaching other people on this board, we should have more than enough. Every person copies and pastes it to another PM and then sends it to their friend, then their friend sends it back so that eveyone can send it out. We chose not to do this in public but rather secretive so that it does not look like revenge or just a bunch of people talking crapp. We are very serious about this and I wanted you and DzRose93 to know about it before everyone else online finds out about it. This is not revenge from me but rather the feelings of many people online who are sick and tired the way things are done around here by only a few mods. Anyhow- I wanted you to know whats being done to the two of you before it is a big slap in the face. We all know nobody likes surprises. I hope you learn to change just as I have. Those in position of authority are sometimes reluctant to change and therefore must lose their position before a change takes place.

The signatures are probably all from accounts HE set up for himself...

I am sorry that you're going through this! You say that he was banned b/c of inappropriate behavior...what are his grounds for wanting to ban you? Just because he was banned. That is childish!

I hope that the GreekChat "leader" sees this the same way!

Thanks, Angie. :) Honestly, I'm not too worried about his little petition. Anyone is free to run a search of any post I've made on GC in the 2+ years I've been here. They'll find out that I've never said anything that even remotely warranted banning, and I stand firmly behind everything I've posted. As far as I'm concerned, the kid can take his toys and go home. Playtime is over.

Wow, talk about wasted energy! Kudos to you and OTW, Carrie! You two have such class and self-control...we're behind you 110%!

Oy. I'm sorry I ever said anything in this guy's defence, especially since I didn't know what all he'd been saying. Geez. I guess summer really is the time when all the crazies come out...I've been receiving e-mails via this site that aren't very nice, too, but I guess the best thing to do is ignore them. Not that it's easy or something, though... :rolleyes:

Hello Fellow Greeks!

In response to the recent current events the sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta (OohTeenieWhanie) we have decided to make a counter petition!!

It is mostly a joke but it is strengthening our bonds as sisters and I think we can beef up our Greek bonds by showing each other support.

I for one want to be the first to say I enjoy the posts of dzrose93 and am here to support you!!

You are welcome on the Alpha Gam board (as well as other DZ) anytime!!
