MTV Message Board- Sorority Life
Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that MTV finally created a message board for Sorority Life.
MTV Sorority Life Page and click on Message Board |
Did anyone else go through the photos : of the pledges?! I haven't seen the show but the photos were CHEAP! Like common! All the photographer did was take a few pics and then just kept zooming out. Then the captions were rediculous too... Becca show some skin...zoom out...lots of skin...WHATEVER!
Hootie  |
I checked out the site....I even posted a few messages.....
|
Wow!
I just read some of the posts on the MTV message board. There are lots of people out there bashing the Sigma AEPi girls, especially the new members. And they are bashing sororities in general, lumping us all into one stereotype and thinking we are all like the girls portrayed on Sorority Life. Looks like some of our initial fears are coming true. :( Oh and about the pictures........ridiculous! Especially the pledge house pics with the close up of the mesh sponge in the shower - oooooh  |
There are an awful lot of women on the MTV board claiming to be in a sorority who are saying some pretty negative/catty things about the girls and the sorority in general....
|
With the possible exception of the alleged Greek women being catty, is any of the rest of this a surprize?
|
Hmmm....
I wonder if MTV has anything to do with the Sigma AEPi web site
dropping off the net. I am referring to the website www.hillelhouse.org. It was there a week ago and now it's gone (do a Google search if you don't believe me). And I don't must mean it's offline, I mean the entire web domain has disappeared. The thing I liked about the site is that it had a page that explained why Sigma AEPi chose to cooperate with MTV in the first place. Basically they said that since they were a local that had only been around for four years, and had recently chartered a new chapter at UCSD, the opportunity to get more visibility was seen as a positive thing that fit in with their goals. I guess this proves why MTV chose a local. They needed an organization that was small enough to push around. From what I gather the E-Board (or whoever the "officers" of the chapter are) had to sign a contract stating that they would not release any information to the public that was not approved by MTV. |
RE: Hmmm....
Actually I may be wrong about this. It looks like they are in the
middle of switching hosting providers. Sorry *blush* I guess the ladies needed more bandwidth. |
RE: Hmmm....
The site's back up with the new ISP. Here is the link to the page I
was talking about: http://www.hillelhouse.org/sigma/html/statement.html |
Sigma AEPi Web Site
Quote:
A duplicate version of the site is on-line at http://www.sigmaaepi.com/. MTV had nothing to do with the original site going down. |
RE: Sigma AEPi Web Site
Thanks for the info. I don't put much past MTV. I'm old enough to
remember what they did to Adam Curry... |
Adam Curry. Hehehe
I still can't believe they cancelled HEadbanger Ball. I get MTV Europe here, and they play video all day, which is great cause I get to see Blur a lot. :) |
*sigh*...Adam Curry. That topic is so much more interesting than Sigma ;)

did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?
that message board is a fountain of duh.
shadokat, girlfriend, you need help. :p |
RE: did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?
33girl, you might be interested to know that the actress responsible
for that quote died of a brain tumor last year. http://us.imdb.com/Bio?Walker,+Kim In addition to being the "head bitch" in Heathers, she also played sorority girl roles in a few obscure 90's movies, plus a small part in "Say Anything". Just FYI. |
