Alpha Phi at Your School?

Hi Everyone!

I was reading the thread about what people knew of Theta chapters at different schools, and wanted to ask the same question about Alpha Phi. At my school, we're known as being really chill, laid back girls, who are Fun, charasmatic, intelligent, classy, pretty, and LOVE a good Party. We never have problems with other houses, and are always invited for exchanges and the like by top fraternities. So what are we like at your school? Just curious...:)

Check out a former thread...http://greekchat.com/gcforums/showth...t=Alpha+Phi%2A

That done, I amend my earlier comments from that post, as my perceptions of APhi's have changed.

APhi is definetly one of the top houses at the University of Nebraska. I've been told that they have been the first house to reach quota for the past 4 years, and haven't had to take any New Members who didn't pref them #1 for the past 2 or something like that.

When I got my invite to go to their spring formal, several of my pledge bros were like "Way to go Geoff...scoring with a hot house."
They are all really gorgeous, and now that I've gotten to know several of them decently well, I know that they are for the most part all pretty nice girls. The campus perception of them however is the typical "I'm hot, so I'm entitled to be a bitch" persona, however I haven't found that to be the case with the ones I've gotten to know.

I would definetly say that they are in everyone's list of the top 5 houses on campus.

As for guys in my own house, the main perception is that since they aren't as likely to party with us as they would with some other fraternities, they must be snobby. However after several great mixers and our homecoming win attitudes are slowly shifting. And hopefully they will continue to see that they should be partying with us. ;)

Alpha Phi's here at Boston U. are one of the top sororities, I'm pretty sure they have the largest membership. Just a bunch of really cool girls to hang out with.

I'm kinda biased though - I have a bunch of really good friends in the Alpha Phi here, and my girlfriend is an A Phi.

yeah, a-phi's at my school are the laid back girls who are down to party. i actually work there washing dishes and my girlfriend is an a-phi also, so i'm also kinda biased i guess.....

I hate to tell you....but A Phi is really not respected at my school at all. They are very catty and they put so much emphasis on "winning" all the time, that they end up really pissing a lot of people off. They also steal other sororities ideas all the time and kiss a lot of ass to avoid rush infractions (they also are the biggest dirty rushers). A bunch of sororities at my school got together and booed them off stage this year at a social function when they won something they didnt deserve. They are not really nice people....oh yea...and they all bleach their hair(like 10 of them have brown hair only)and have fake tans. Sorry...its really embarrasing to your sorority...im sure your not all like that.

A Phis and UVA are apparently very hot and pretty fun, well liked...at JMU I guess they are cool, I only know a few and they seem alright, I did pref there, but went elsewhere.
