Alumni????
We're restarting the chapter at UMass Dartmouth. The chapter disolved in the 70's. How do I go about finding alumni of the chapter?
|
The best/easiest way is to contact TKE IHQ.
|
Yes IHQ has a list of your chapter alumni with their most current adress. But if the alumni haven't updated their adresses with IHQ then more than likely alot are wrong.
|
Best way
The best way is to find some of the original members, from their get the email addresses from them and start emailing them news and events. These guys will intern find alot of older fraters, and you then get their email addresses and it rolls down hill.....Blaise
alos set up a tent for the homecoming football game, and have yalls letters out and they will come to you...... |
Go to the TKE International Web site.
(wwwtke.org is the site I think.) There you'll find information for potential colonizations and who to contact. Hope this helps. Good Luck!! |
TKE: UMass-Dartmouth

tell you TKE has never had a chapter there. The Mu Psi chapter you mention--check your pledge manual--was not at Dartmouth, perhaps Lowell... At any rate, get a BOA, and Advisor and set sights on 60 men and you have our best wishes...Erik Conard, KoA, CFC, Key Teke, Denver Alumni Chapter |
UMass Dartmouth was once Southeastern Massachusetts(SMU) University. It became UMass Dartmouth in 1991 I belive. So according to TKE.org there was a chapter here. I also have been in touch with one of the fraters that went to school in the 80's at SMU. Erik if Mu Psi isnt the chapter then which one was as SMU?

You could well be correct. I could well be wrong. I knew of U
Mass-Dartmouth, but did not make the connection. These days when schools change names or merge or whatever, it is hard even for old trivia filberts like me to keep track, especially "back east" where there are so many schools. As SE Mass was apparently the forerunner or parent of U Mass--Dartmouth, the charter should be returned for Mu Psi as it is basically the same place, i.e., no new chapter designation should be made. My home chapter in Emporia was once Kansas State Normal College>Kansas State Teachers College of Emporia>Emporia Kansas State College>Emporia State University. The chapter is dead, but hopefully we will be back soon, old Gamma Phi, at ESU. The names change but fraternalism does not. Good luck, and I am sure HQ will be able to assist you. Hope the alumni get aboard and t hat the local support is forthcoming. This is very important. And TKE is the Fraternity for Life. Best to you all from us rustics in t he rockies.
