I mowed my lawn!
 

Ok, first off, everyone please feel free to laugh at me here! I'd be laughing at me, too. :D

I just mowed my lawn. I realize this is not a great accomplishment, but I have never in my 24 years turned on a lawn mower, much less operated one. And now I have just mowed an extremely hilly yard with a push mower! Of course I had to call my husband so he could explain how to turn the thing on, and it took a few minutes, but I still managed it.

I'm sure the next time around won't be any fun, but at least my yard doesn't look like a jungle anymore!!

And no, there was no reason to post this. :) I just felt the need to share my minor accomplishment!

CONGRATULATIONS!

The second time I ever turned on a mower it was b/c we were having people over and the gardner didn't show up. The grass was wet and it was seriously one of the best workouts I'v ever had. Too bad I burned out the motor on the lawnmower!

I feel you ... I was also the first timer about one month ago, when I started my landscaping job in the university. Quite an experience! :D

Was it a push mower or riding mower?

I have never mowed a lawn because I don't have a lawn. I'm impressed.:)
