Raleigh-Durham-RTP Area Sisters?
The Madison post has me thinking again of trying to get alumnae (and active) sisters in the greater Raleigh, NC area together for a dinner or brunch or something. I know there must be several of us in the area, what with all the companies here plus an active chapter at NCSU!
If you'd be interested, post something and let me know your whereabouts and what you'd be interested in doing! Sisters, Beth |
Beth-
You could just move to Madison and hang out with us ;) Luv ya. Robin |
Only if you ladies can promise me warm winters with NO SNOW! :)

sounds great!!
it sounds like it would be fun |
How can we get this together? Do you have a list of alums who are in the area from NCSU? I'm thinking just meeting for dinner or brunch would be the easiest way to start!
|
i have that information except for my fellow class of 02 addresses
i will email it to you as soon as i can |
Thanks - whenever you can would be great. We're busy here at school with the orientation for the first year class... but I'm starting to be able to breathe as of tonight! :-)

hmm you (Beth) and i REALLY need to talk sometime :)
and soon |
Please lets get together!
Please...if there are any RTP alumni, lets get together. I am a recent alumni, graduated this past spring. I'm finding life as a college graduate is so much different on the social level than i ever imagined. Living with two undergrads really emphasises the differences. I'd love to get together with others who've went through this. Especially after tonight (I attempted to attend our chapter's first meeting of the year and was told by the president that national bylaws prohibit alumni from attending)...
so, I'd really like to find people to talk with and chat with. As an undergrad, the sorority was such a vital and important part of my life that I miss it and want to maintain contacts. Thanks for listening to me vent! *beth pugh |
yeah they say that the transition from highschool to college is the hardest
but i think this transition from college to the real world is ever so much harder i miss not being able to hang out with my sisters because i dont feel welcome around them anymore -- not the actives anyway i guess us alumni will have to stick together |
Hi Ladies:
Just wanted to clarify... there is nothing in the bylaws that says alumni can't attend an active chapter meeting. They can't vote at an active meeting, and should be careful to be there as supporters rather than critiquers (if that's a word!)... sometimes that is an issue. But there is nothing to prohibit it. |
Do either of you have time to locate RTP area alumni?
I'd love to help and would attend a social gathering (maybe a dinner at a restaurant somewhere around Cary?) but am not sure I'll have time in the next few weeks to look up the SAs in the National Alumni Directory. If you two could start the ball rolling, that would be awesome! It doesn't have to start as a full alumni chapter effort, just as a chance to hang out with sisters! Other chapters, if you have alums in North Carolina, please send them our way!

Let's Get Together!
How about we take a look at the week of September 23-27 about getting together. That will give us time to contact anyone we can think of in the area (I'll contact the Alpha Theta Alumni Chair when we set some more specifics). Some ideas of what to do... *Putt-Putt *Attack the Shops at Southpoint! *Go out to eat (IE: Joe's Crab Shack in Durham, Bahama Breeze in Raleigh) if you have more, please let me know. I'm excited about the potential to meet other sisters from other chapters! *bethie PS: if you want to schedule this over e-mail, mine is beth_pugh@ncsu.edu |

Aaargh... best of intentions here, but ran out of time! This week is crazy, what do you folks think of sometime the following two weeks? I love the Southpoint idea or Joe's Crab Shack since it's right down the street. ;-)
