Jo Malone fragrances
Anyone use Jo Malone fragrances? If so, what are your favorites?
I think I'm stuck on my traditional ole Amarige by Givenchy- which I've been wearing for years. I've recently added Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana but Brandon thinks it smells too fruity! lol. |
Jo Malone user here
I have some Jo Malone Grapefruit, bought about a year and a half ago at Neiman's in Beverly Hills. Nice summer fragrance. I also like her Tuberose, which I plan to buy this fall, and the French Lime Blossom.
|
I think it's a wonderful concept that her fragrances are meant to complement each other thus making it possible to combine them for a unique scent!
|
I must be out of the loop or something...I've never heard of Jo Malone fragrances!
|
I've seen them in magazines...a couple recently in this mth's Atlanta magazine and Shape.
I think they are sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus. |
Well that would explain why I haven't heard about them. I don't live near any NM stores. My friend Lisa works at one in Michigan...I'll ask her about them.

Whoa, I need to get on the ball! I'm the resident Parfum Queen at my house, and I've never heard of this Jo Malone. But as long as we're on the subject...you should try 1881 by Cerruti, it's my favorite and it's absolutely wonderful!

I read an article about Jo Malone in British Vogue a couple years ago and have been dying to try her stuff ever since, but I have too much cologne/perfume/spritz right now to justify buying anything else, especially that expensive!
One question though: I've read different places that the scents don't last long. Steeltrap, do they last on you? |

The Tuberose, which is rather strong, does last on me. I get up fairly early and go to bed around 9:30 or 10. And yes, it's still there. The Grapefruit also lasts rather long. It's funny, because I don't often use matching body lotions. Since I have more than 20 different fragrances, I would be broke if I didn't use a neutral lotion. BTW, a small JM (1-oz) or so costs $45. Saw some at NM in Beverly Hills yesterday, but didn't buy any. Bought some Fresh Index instead. JM's generous w/samples, too. :) |
These perfumes sound great!! But, does anyone know if you can order her stuff online? I don't live near a NM!!
|
lol, I think you can call up NM and order if from them....but I would consider it mighty risky since you should know what it smells like first!

Best Fragrances from London We can remember our first brush with Jo Malone as if it were yesterday. After a wretched afternoon in New York, buffeted by strong March gales and blasts of icy rain, we slipped gratefully into a steaming tub so redolent of exotic tuberoses that we were unexpectedly transported to an evening in Bali, where once, years ago, we were reduced to a state of delightful intoxication by an enormous vase of white tuberoses that perfumed the night air with their sensual fragrance. Not bad for a capful of bathoil. Malone, a highly sought after London aromatherapist (www.jomalone.co.uk), captivated the fragrance world some years ago when she introduced her own, rather unusual line of colognes and bath oils. Unlike many other parfumeurs, Malone devloped fragrances with distinctive floral, herbal, and spice notes, often blended in the most surprising fashion. Although some, such as Tuberoses, are overwhelmingly redolent of a single flower, others such as the refreshing Lime, Basil and Mandarin are intensified with hints of other fragrances--in this case, lilac, white thyme and vetiver. Even more intriguing is Malone’s predilection for “layering” scents to create a fragrance unique to the wearer. One of our favorites is spicy Red Roses worn over Verbena of Province, a luscious blend that mysteriously can’t quite be identified. Malone’s collection, which also includes skin care products and home fragrances, is available in the U.S. at stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, and at Jo Malone, 949 Broadway, New York, NY 10010. Telephone: 212-673-2220. The chic cream and black packaging is the best in the business. |
bumping an old thread...the current recruitment thread has me wondering about these. I really want to find a long lasting fragrance. Does anyone know these well?
|
I know at Christmastime they had a sample set of I think 10 different fragrances. You can find them at Nordstrom and some Saks.
