Need ideas for an anniversary present
 

My parent's 35th wedding anniversary is in two weeks, and I still have no clue what to get them. I'm trying to find something pretty special, but preferably that can be ordered on the internet and shipped to them. Does anyone have any good ideas? I'd really appreciate it, I'm definately lacking in the inspriration department right now!

Maybe get them a nice frame and get their names, marriage date and 35th anniversary engraved on it. Then you could put a pic of them now in it. awwww...sweet!

I am big on frames...

You can pretty much get them anything and they will be pleased. In a his and her gift situation, she is the one that you should try to please. And many women seem to swoon over cutesy things like frames . . .

If you got a guy (of any age) a frame we would proffess to love it, but in our mind we would be rolling our eyes LOL.

I agree, ANYTHING will be loved if it comes from your heart. My son has the best insight into "presents". For Mothers' Day he bought me a new mouse for the computer because I was always complaining about it. (Too bad it didn't solve the problem) He bought his Dad a Tony's Chachere's cookbook because Hubby loves the spice blend and has been watching the COOKING CHANNEL! :D

I'm throwing a surprise party for my parents' 25th anniversary in August. I'm inviting all of their friends and the family. It's going to be really simple but I know that they'll love it.

If you have a tight budget, the trick is to find a place for the party that's free, like a friend or family member's house, or even a local restaurant. I have simple decorations, just some wedding pictures and banners. I'm also buying a cake, but it's not expensive at all. My party is at a local country club, so the guests can order any food or drinks they want at their own cost.

Is there something they enjoy together? Movies? Plays? Sports? Music? What were their first dates like? What do they like to do together?

I recently bought my parents passes to a wine tasting class. They love wine and are always trying new kinds. I think they like having something to do together that is distinctly "grown up" rather than kid-related stuff.
