Pref Party Dress?

Ok, someone else asked this question, and someone told them to avoid the little dresses with spaghetti straps. What if that's really all you have that is semi-formal? I have a dress like that... It's black with little blue flowers going down one side... really pretty... But it has spaghetti straps. Is that a bad thing if the dress isn't particularly revealing at all? Because I really don't know if I can pull off buying something new when pref night is tomorrow for us!

If you think its appropriate and its all you have then wear it....with a STRAPLESS bra! Nobody at pref wants an underwear show. Also be sure to wear a slip and hose. The point is that prospectives shouldn't dress like they would for a hot date ~ pref is a sacred ceremony and the dress code should reflect this!

Best thing about college - borrowing clothes from your dorm mates! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

See if anyone has a little black cardigan you can wear - it's best to be covered up.

First off, unless the Panhellenic has instructed you to wear a semi-formal dress, don't. Just wear a nice, dressy 'church' type dress.

If Panhellenic has said you should wear a semi-formal dress, you especially don't want it to be revealing. It should be tasteful and fit well - not too tight. Be sure to wear proper undergarments with whatever dress you choose.

Good luck and let us know what happens tomorrow with bids!
