Badges, how do you wear them?

But I was wondering whether or not to spring for the chapter guard and officer dangle. For one thing I don't really like the word dangle. I've never seen another male wear one and the word just sounds very sororityish (not trying to offend anyone, just my personal realm of experience)... Does anyone out there actually use chapter guards and dangles on their badges or is it just an "add on" sale for the jewelry people?

I personnally think it is a waste unless you are going to be going to a place where there is going to be a lot of sigma nu's or greeks from other chapters and you want to differentiate yourself from the others.

If you havent ordered that badge yet check out Ebay and search for sigma nu, they have badges like that every week and if you don't mind wearing someone else's badge number and initials you might bea able to save a couple bucks.

We have the dangles, and they are passed from officer to officer, but over time, many have been lost, or forgotten to be passed on.

I'd say, have your chapter buy it, and pass it on to the next person in your position as part of the officer transition.

If you lost them, Masters of Design has them for like $5.00. Just make sure you ask for the "Gold Gloss" ones. They try and sell you the 14K stuff if you just ask which is like $19.00.

I was looking at class rings and they want around $400-$500 for them? What in the hell do they make them out of?

$130 for a diploma frame?

if it makes ya feel any better ktsnake my Aggie ring cost me about $400 and it's just 10K gold, that's it.

That's after i paid $1000 for my Senior Boots for the Corps. needless to say, it's going to be awhile before i upgrade badges :D

There's someone out there that thinks that college grads will be rich enough someday to pay this stuff off.

My dad's an AKL. Just found his old badge. He has the chapter guard and a dangle.

He works for the government and is very manly. :D
