The Beta Eta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi at the Univ. of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) had an award-winning year in 2015, showing off its well rounded commitment to scholarship, service and community engagement, winning scholarship, risk management and best fraternity chapter honors at the 2015 UA Greek Banquet.

Bro. Jeromey Beamon, the Basileus (President) of Beta Eta Chapter has had a stellar record of success at Univ. of Alabama. He enrolled at UA as a Gates Millennium Scholar and has maintained an excellent academic record. Last year at the State of Alabama Meeting of Omega Psi Phi, the Biomedical Sciences/Pre-Med major won the top G.P.A. Award, with a 3.99 G.P.A. This year he was awarded the Founders Award at the 7th District Meeting and was made a member of the 7th District Honor Society, reserved for juniors and seniors who maintain a minimum 3.5 G.P.A. The aspiring pediatrician (neonatologist) is the Treasurer of the UA NPHC and is active in on-campus activities. His mentor is Bro. Brian Sims, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of Pediatrics, Cell Biology and Neurobiology at the Univ. of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine.
