How do sisters decide who gets to join??

Hello!!

I was hoping you guys could help me out on this one...how do the sisters actually vote on prospectives?? Since there are so many rushees, how do the sisters vote anyhow, when they probably can't make a face/personality-connection with that certain rushee?

Sorry just pretty clueless about this whole rush process!!

Each organization looks for specific qualities in a prospective member. The voting process, however, is business that pertains only to initiated sisters. I do not know of any organization that shares this information with non-members. I would suggest that you be yourself and look for qualities that you value in the ladies you meet during recruitment or other events.

there are 2 voting methods that i know of:

1. a rushee must have a certain majority of sisters vote her into the sorority. for example, a particular sorority might not let a rushee in unless, say, 65% of the house wants her in. this is a yes/no vote, and it doesn't allow for "shades of gray."

2. each sister a rushee chats with during the parties, and all the sisters that know her from outside rush, rate that rushee on a numerical scale. those with the highest average ratings are invited back. it doesn't matter HOW MANY sisters like a rushee, but HOW MUCH those she does know like her.
