What makes your guy friends any better than the girl?

I would guess that the difference is that the guy friends weren't going through Rush, shultzz. Therefore, no one in the chapter had to worry if their reputations would cause problems for the sorority if they were extended bids. ;)

After a week, me and a past friend, got our bids and the night before we were supposed to "pledge" ZTA, we attended a XYZ party. But, wait it gets worse. I only went there because she wanted to go there and I wanted to get acquinted w/ them. She (and to a degree, I) origionally wanted to go XYZ. To make a long story short, they extended her a bid (knowing she signed one from ZTA) and she SIGNED it (a big no-no). The news got around quickly to the ZTAs the next day, my ex-friend didn't show up at induction, and that made them even more suspicious. They confronted me and I felt pressured, so confirmed the rumor (tattling on my friend). That was one BIG mess! :o I'm shocked that they even wanted me to continue w/ the pledging process and my friend spoke to me again.

My guy friends are bigger sluts than that other girl could ever think about being, but....
they were not trying to pledge a sorority and give them a stigma because of their actions.
It is one thing to do something, it is quite another to announce it in a class when you are a junior in high school.

Caution: If you are currently a collegian member, I would think twice about posting anything you've done which may be borderline rule-breaking. You don't want to take a chance of getting yourself or your chapter in trouble.

I agree with Leslie. As moderator of this forum, I want to caution you that your chapter's and your national's reputation and your own reputation are at stake when posting material of this nature to a public forum such as this.

In short - you and your chapter aren't being portrayed in the best light right now. You should never admit to 'dirty' recruitment techniques or similar issues in a public forum.

I can understand your desire to talk about things of this nature, but I do not believe it is appropriate for the Recruitment forum.

I will leave it up to you whether or not you want to leave this thread up and running. I will delete if if I feel it is getting out of hand.
