UW Sororities

Hey there....I will be a freshman on the University of Washington, Seattle in the fall. Coming from Southern California, I really have no idea about Greek life at UW....does anyone know of several popular sororities at UW? What is life like there?
Thanks for your help!

Jenn,

Congratulations on UW! It's an excellent school with a strong Greek community. I was accepted there a few years ago, but I'm still kicking myself in the butt for not going!

As with all potential new members, we stress that you really should go into Fall Recruitment with an open mind. That being said, a sorority's popularity should not deter you from finding out as much as you can about the sixteen Panhellenic sororities on campus.

Those sixteen NPC organizations are:

Alpha Chi Omega
Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Gamma Delta
Alpha Phi
Alpha Xi Delta
Chi Omega
Delta Delta Delta
Delta Gamma
Delta Zeta
Gamma Phi Beta
Kappa Alpha Theta
Kappa Delta
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Pi Beta Phi
Sigma Kappa
Zeta Tau Alpha

This information was obtained from UW's PANHELLENIC WEBSITE. It's a great site, and it can answer any general questions you might have about formal Fall Recruitment.

I know we have some GCers out there who are UW students, so they'll be able to tell you how Student Life is like at UW!

Good luck and please let us know how things go!

Hi, Jenn, congrats on acceptance! I'd definitely recommend checking out the Panhellenic website..I think it will give you a great idea of sorority life at UW. See you in the fall!
