Games you play
I have a question for everyone:
What games do you play as a chapter at things like chapter retreat, Bid night, and stuff like that? I know we have a game we play called "I love all my sisters." It's fun to play. It's a cross between duck, duck, gooses, Musical Chairs and Red Rover. You get the chapter to circle up as well as they can (especially when you're playing with 150 girls). Then one person gets up and says "I love all my sisters that _____(ex. - live in Georgia)" Then everyone who lives in Georgia has to get up and find a different seat and the person who doesn't find a seat or gets stuck standing has to introduce them selves and the pick out a characteristic to spotlight. It's a really fun way to get to know everybody and have a great laugh. I was just wondering. :) Xi love, Tina |
we don't necessairly "play", but we have "Pass the Teddy", Basically when you get the Teddy, you just tell whats on your mind, good bad, AZD related and non.
On Bid Day, we play chairs. Similar to the game Pink Rose does. The New Members Stand on a chair, and each one tells us where they are from, a hobby or sport, and something special about them. Each time they say something, all the sisters that have that in common also stand on chairs and say their name, so the new member has someone they know they share something in common with. |
We play something we call the hand game. Everyone lays on the floor in a circle with their forearms out on the floor, and you link elbows with the girls next to you so one hand is yours, the next is hers, the next is yours, etc. Someone hits the floor with their hand and says in what direction it's supposed to go (right or left) and then the person on that side hits her hand on the floor, and so on and so forth. If you hit the floor twice, that means reverse and you switch directions. It's sort of silly but a lot of fun and you really have to concentrate to remember which hand is yours. If you mess up you take a hand out of the circle.
