(this one is kinda morbid) : everyone will have that one beautiful, perfect day when everything goes right - you're happy, you learn whatever it is you're supposed to learn/you teach someone else whatever it is you're supposed to, and you feel COMPLETELY fulfilled; however, you'll probably die pretty soon thereafter.

So could you lock yourself in a room for the rest of your life and your mate would happen to be the pizza boy who delivers one nights dinner? Or if you never left you were chosen by God not to have a Soul Mate....How strong is fate and/or God's Will? Got an interesting short-story that this thought came from if you'd like to read it....it's on my computer.

Things I believe In
 

I believe that everyone has the right to make the most of THEIR life. If they make a mistake or screw up it's their problem! If a woman feels that she is equal to the task in hitting the opposite sex. :mad: I believe that she is subject to the same consequences a fellow brother would receive. If a woman wants to have an abortion, it's her body!! Let her choose!! What if your daughter, mother, sister or wife was raped and found out that she was pregant!! Would have the nerves to refuse her the right to handle her life!

I believe that KARMA , is something we use in everyday life. It's just a matter of using it for good or for bad. Just remember that it comes around faster than we all think!!:eek:

PMed you, but really that is the topic at hand because it's things YOU believe. I just can't see that if there was someone destined to meet you, and you made no effort whatsoever to meet him and maybe locked yourself in a room your entire life that anyone could believe that the two of you could meet. Also what if that person holds the same philosophy that there is some girl destined to meet him and he needs to make no effort at finding her...she'd find him...meanwhile you're both locked away in your rooms...did fate change and you're no longer destined to meet one another?

No, I don't think you could meet that soul by locking yourself in your room. At the same time stopin your daily living just to look for that "Love of your Life." Isn't the key either!

God will not let you miss out your blessing, it is us that get in the way of God's will. How many times your wish you had call that guy or girl back, but you didn't. Even worst, how many times you diss someone without truly getting to know them. As a female I have done a better job of giving the bothers a chance to hang themselves (excuse the expression). ;)

Karma honey, you didn't do a very good job reading through this thread. The break down:

* BLU said that she had a belief about her mate finding her,
* I asked if that was God's definite Will and can it unknowingly be defied,
* she said that wasn't the topic,
* I quoted her saying that wasn't the topic....

I wasn't even aware that you were in our little dialogue and I most definitely never had responded you, telling you anything you said wasn't the topic at hand, my dear. In fact the entire point was me bringing a thought about, and reiterating that it was exactly the point.

uh-oh! i go out of town for a weekend and miss the excitement. SigmaChiCard, i got your PM. i'll read the "book" in a sec. But just a general note...

i stand firm by MY PERSONAL belief that i don't need to go "looking" for a man. I DID NOT say i would lock myself in a room (those are your words).

as far as what the thread IS and IS NOT about, i thought it was simply stating some of your beliefs - not going all into detail to justify each and every one of them. However, if that is the case, i can do so.
