About the sororities at your schools

Just curious, what sororities do your chapters usually do most of your party's with? And is that/those sorority/ies known for having the hot chics in it?

I know mine did/does stuff with DeeGee, Zeta Tau Alpha and Alpha Delta Pi. I've had girls from all three chapters here at Univ. Of Florida. Most of the girls were from DeeGee, in my case.

KEPike 06-12-2002 02:29 PM

At my school...

We have Zeta Tau Alpha and Alpha Sigma Alpha. We do things consistently with both of them. There is also a local sorority, Tau Sigma Alpha, which is looking for a National affiliation that are basically Pike girls.

Since Rockhurst is so small, we also have events with Chi Omega and Alpha Delta Pi at Univ. of Missouri, KC...which is right across the street.

I'd suggest that we not discuss our sexual exploits on this board, since people other than Pikes read what we write. Anyways, there ya go.

Ditto That, UF Pike

Please keep the rest of us in mind, Brother. What you say reflects on all of us. Phi phi.

gammababe 06-13-2002 03:37 PM

You mean my poor sisters had to put up with your obnoxious @$$? Poor girls. I'm sure they'll recover eventually though.

Bolingbaker, KEPike, thank you for being the type of men that I know the Pikes to be.

UF_Pike 06-13-2002 06:27 PM

Ok, I'll tone it down. But on the other hand, why the fuck should I have to put up with some internet fat bitch (Pm_Mama) talking shit to me? And i know she's a big one, cause she admited to it. Whether you guys believe it or not, we dont even take our new pledges to the PHI MU house and a few others i won't name (because i dont want to start anything else). They would all stand outside and watch as we went to have the pledges annouce at various houses and skip theirs and a few others. I know being brothers we all must have some of the same kind of characteristics. What they are, i'm trying to figure out.

Do you guys like fat chics? I mean if you do, thats ok. But i thought in PIKE in general (Not just my chapter) we should all be studs. Being a pike/stud doesnt mean being rude, but it can also mean not taking shit from some mouth babbling bitch.

I know stuff i say reflects on all of us, however it's kind of tempting when i see a whole thread of fat chics downing the girls many of us would consider hot.

Anyhow, it'll stop.

Being a Stud...

Means respecting other people, even those that you may not like.

Remember, one of the things that binds ALL Pikes are the 10 Ethical Principles. One of these is respect for others

Thanks for toning it down.

SoCalGirl 06-15-2002 02:09 AM

UF Pike,

I'm going to assume that you've been a PIKE for less than two years. Why?, you may ask. Because you come off as fairly immature. Not trying to slam you for it, just my opinion.

You said that PIKE should all be studs. Being a stud is merely a physical trait. Being a gentleman is a personality trait. At my school PIKE is known for being both. They're hotties ans sweeties. :) In fact PIKE is sooooo well loved that they can have exchanges/socials with both the least and most popular sororities in the same week. Do other groups think less of them for it? Nope, the other guys can only wish they were that good!

Just a little something to think about the next time your bragging about how great you think your chapter is.

I'm sorry to burst your theory about me sweetie, but i pledged in fall 1998.......

I've been around for some time now.

I have to say how sad I am to see how poorly Pi Kappa Alpha is represented in this thread! I logged on and was going to post a thread about how much respect I had for your fraternity, and then UF_Pike changed my mind (well, just a little:) ) First of all, I'm not sure if you have a sister or not, so I'll use this; how would you like it if another man talked about your girlfriend the way you talked about Pm_Mama? Granted, I don't know the whole story, but I do know that whatever she did to upset you doesn't mean she deserves to be called such explicit names! If you don't like her, don't talk to her; simple as that. And, to say that you "had" a couple girls, were they drunk or sober? Because my bet is that the only way you could talk them into even carrying on a conversation with you, much less being intimate, was the result of some heavy alcohol consumption. Do you kiss your mama with that mouth?

I would like to say, however, how much respect I have for the gentlemen of Pi Kappa Alpha. They are very well-respected on my campus, as they should be. And, I can assure you that the immature actions of one brother will not sway my opnion.

So proud to be a DELTA ZEE!

K, color me surprised.

I do want to say one thing on behalf of UF PIKE, you do seem....confident! (I always try to say at least one nice thing about someone when everyone is bashing them.) ;)

PM_Mama00 06-17-2002 04:01 PM

Wow....what the hell was PIKE thinkin when they let this asshole in? I know a few PIKEs in Michigan that are really nice.... I hope they're not the only PIKEs who are nice. UF_Pike....don't think I dont read shit.

Pike4Life 06-18-2002 02:06 PM

Excuse me, UF Pike, but it sounds like you might have been part of the reason why the UF chapter was CLOSED a few years ago. Don't tarnish the good name of those new Brothers who just recolonized you with such ASSinine behavior.

Be a gentleman. Respect ALL women. Take pride in being the BEST, but also be humble in that it only takes one thing to topple you off that grand pedestal. I'm sure your Sunshine Regional President and Alpha Eta alumni Chris Peterson (whom I personally know) would not appreciate you downgrading yourself and those fellow Greeks in this manner.

Try to have some RESPECT my Brother.

PhiMuNursie 06-19-2002 11:05 PM

hi all...

Howdy! I was just dropping by and saw this and I just had to respond.

Just to let you know, I've been talking to UF Pike and he's really not as bad as he comes off (he's redeemed himself a little as far as I'm concerned). But that's only half the reason I decided to post this.

Two of my UF Pike friends were giving me a ride back to my dorm a couple years ago, right after they dropped me off they were headed to the wall (where everyone paints messages along a busy street in G'ville) to meet the rest of the Pike chapter and paint a tribute to a brother that was tragically killed the weekend before. One of the guys I was with had been gone for 2 years and didn't know the brother who died personally, but the pain the two men were in was indescribable. I remember the chills I got down my spine in the car that day hearing them talk about going to meet their brothers to do this. Anyway, I've seen a small glimpse of the Pi Kappa Alpha brotherhood at UF and believe me, ya'll are represented well...at least with the men I know.

Wow, gets me all teary thinking about it. Thanks for listenin to my lil ramble.

Tara :)

His name was Brian Tew.

He was a good friend of mine and he was killed in a fight after he fell down the stairs and sustained injuries to the head.

I have a lot to say on this subject but i'd rather not on this board. If any of you would like to talk about this matter or anything like it in your life, feel free to PM me. It was hard going through that shit and even harder thinking about the new brothers of the new chapter not giving a fuck about him.

Skchickie 06-20-2002 02:34 PM

I must say I was pretty sad to see that his memorial had been painted over ( or at least it looked like it had, i just got a fleeting glimpse) I didn't know him of course, but I thought the memorial was touching and I was also amazed that people had the respect to not paint over it.... well until now.
