More MTV soroity stuff...
 

Ok, so did anyone see the show "undressed" last night? I'm pretty sure it's a re-run, cuz I'm sure the show was canceled. Anyways... did anyone see the part with the girl "joining a sorority?" Ok, so they had her dress up in this humiliating, skimpy outfit, and then two... and ONLY two girls came into the room to "initiate" her by doing something humialiting and abusive to her (which they didn't show on camera.) Then, later in the show, the two girls meet her in this lounge and were like, "oh, so you're worty to be a [XYZ, or whatever], so here's your badge... *giggle giggle*" :eek: When the hell will TV and movies stop giving greeks such a bad name? Yikes...

heh, i have to admit I watch that show a few times. You think that's shocking, they had another sorority pledging skit, went a little something, LIKE THIS:

2 "sisters" and one "pledge" walk into her dorm room, tell her to strip down to her panties and bra and put on a vest that contains various items (i.e. condoms, breath mints, a flower, etc.) So they are giving their schpiel on the "you have to prove to us your XYZ material" and so they take her to the men's bathroom and tell her to get into the shower (heh, this is what cracks me up as a guy) and take off all her clothes. :eek: So then they leave her and this random guy in the shower together and they take his towel and clothes and run off laughing.


It's an undressed skit, they create some of the most hilarious scenarios sometimes, but that one made me stop and think, wait a sec, that's sending an outrageous message about sororities to naive young teenagers. To the rest of us, it's just crazy.

I don't think I could possibly get mad at that show... It's like porno flicks but no naked people (WORTHLESS!!!)

As for their depictions of sororities I'd take it with a grain of salt. It's just a TV show and a really poorly written one at that.

Did any one of those have to do with the girl breaking up with her boyfriend? I remember seeing one where it caused problems with some girl and her b-friend.

Yea, the girl ended up breaking up with her boyfriend because of the sorority thing... He was like, "the sorority... or me." And then he was complaining about how in the world could she be such a conformist and let these people boss her around just to be part of the "in" crowd. I just feel sorry for all the people that actually believe that's what greek life is like... :(

yeah i saw it the other night, and kept thinking how ridiculous it was..seriously, what was w/that sorority that there were like, only 2 members?? :)

what i want to know is this...is there really the much *******going on? it really is like a porno.
