Convention 2002
 

Hey ladies,
Just wanted to tell everyone to have a great time at convention! And have a safe trip, come back and tell lots of stories!!!

So, who is going to Convention? I'm not.

I think I'm the only greek chatter dphie going :(. I was hoping to meet you guys. The funny thing I thought man, Florida it is going to be so nice and hot there - well it's supposed to be 30 degrees here in Vanc - so not much difference (only 33 in Orlando)...:cool: Also there are 5 people coming from Vanc this year which is cool since we are probably the chapter and city furthest away from Orlando (actually only 3 of us are leaving from Vanc as one sister calls Toronto her home and another sister is coming in from Hong Kong - so she has the furthest to travel :)). I have 6 and a half hours of flying - I get bored after about 3... Just over 4 hours to dallas and another 2 and a half to Orlando

Have a fantastic time in Orlando Siob! Trust me, I wish it was me going too :) Tell Dawn I said hello if you talk with her!

I'm going tomorrow morning. I'm really, really, really excited to go. Fire - hav fun in Pittsburgh! Go to Peter's 5 for 5 on Monday for me. It will make you feel better about not going to Convention. Well I have to get up in 5 hours to get to the airport - have a safe trip everyone!

Convention
 

Convention was great! SO many meetings and not enough free time for everyone to spend together, but it was still wonderful to meet everyone. The sun never shone, but stuff like that happens. The big topic of conversation was (of course) the new MTV show. Everyone spent a lot of time making an effort to exchange ideas and take as much as they could back to their chapters. It's great to see that no matter where Deephers go, we are always:
1 - the coolest girls in the room;
2 - the ones having the most fun;
3 - the people who can best cut through bs and be honest and real with one another.
Everyone was always extremely honest and candid about their chapters and their challenges and successes.

We all deserve a standing ovation!

Conv was super fun. But as a volunteer with regional meetings and fireside chats I had no free time and the time I did have to sit by the pool - it rained! Disney was awesome; Pleasure Island was awesome - I am so proud of my chapter (DG), they took home 5 awards. All the girls I met and hung out with were totally awesome.
