a Zeta question??????

OK! I need some help! I am a Zeta from Valdosta State, I pledged fall 2000 but I only went there one semester and I think that I want to go back. The thing is that I haven't atlked to any of my "sisters " since I left. I am really scared to go back b/c I haven't talked to anyone from there. Another thing I am worried about is, can't you only be a sister for 4 years then you are alum status. But since I was inactive does this mean I have 4 more years or do I just have 2. I think it is going to take me more than 2 more years to graduate. Can someone PLEASE clear the 4 year thing up for me. And what does alum status really change.....I would ask a sister but I don't talk to any of them.

I assume you pledged AND initiated? When you left VSU, did you put forth a request for alumnae status or did you just 'leave'.

The BEST thing to do would be to write to zetataualpha@zetataualpha.org to find out what your exact status is with the fraternity. If you are in good standing, you will probably just need to reaffiliate with the VSU chapter. Otherwise, you will just need to restablish your good status with the Fraternity then reaffiliate. You can be a member of the chapter for as long as you are an undergraduate.

Good luck!

One of my pledge sisters found herself in the same situation that you find yourself in. You may go back active in that chapter or stay on alum status. I think that you have to make the decision with in a limited time or you are automaticly alum. To be qualified for alum status you must serve 4 active years, graduation, or leave the school in good standing. If you have been active for 1 year then when you return to school and are active again you will have to stay active for 3 years or until you graduate, which ever comes first.
