How are the AOII's at your school?
I was just wondering about Alpha Omicron Pi's other chapters and what everyone thought about the AOII at your school. Are they big, small, popular or whatever...

It's been a while, but they were always very cool to hang out with. Very down to earth.

Here are a couple of threads about the same topic:

AOPi is on their way up at ECU. They have never been weak, but they are everywhere SGA and so on. They have been working hard to be top and I think they may be rounding the corner soon!
Some of the MOST fun girls I worked with on PH were AOPi! |
We had AOII here on the University of Washington campus until a few years ago...my sister was a member back in the day, so I was sad not to be able to have the opportunity to rush her house because she'd spoken so fondly of it! I know there's still a Washington AOII chapter at Washington State University, and i've heard good things about them.

From my experiences, AOPI at UNL is a great group of girls. All my experiences with them are great, one of my best friends is in it, and my spring formal date was an AOPI from UNL. :)

It is so nice to hear that you all have good opinions of the sisters I hold so dear! :)
Our chapter at LaGrange had a few difficult recruitments the past 2 years but this year we got some AMAZING girls through COB and are looking forward to a wonderful fall recruitment. They are all super sweet and very involved on campus. We are known as the "real", "down to earth" type of girls here. We also won the scholarship cup and homecoming banner this year!!! :) Roses, Sarah |
Let's see...how are the AOIIs at University of Kentucky...we have a pretty big chapter...over 100 actives. I just initiated AOII-Kappa Omega in Oct. 2001, and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made...I am senior..was still interested in rushing an NPC sorority, but was afraid that I would be dropped due to my class rank (senior vs. freshman). I did COB and the first thing I noticed about them is that they were so down to earth and sweet...when I came to the house for dinner, everyone was so unbelievably nice and I felt right at home...I accepted my bid and I have never regretted it!!!:D

It's great to hear good news about Kappa Omega! The UK AOIIs have always been the greatest.
Side note--I've spent a good many hours over the years standing in line near the AOII house while waiting to get into Memorial for Midnight Madness. Ah, the good old days :-D Christin (Die-hard Kentucky fan, even though I went to Louisville *ugh*) |
I hung out with some of the AOTT's at Lambuth University in TN for a while since my boyfriend was going to school there, and the ones that I remember are so sweet and nice! They hung out with me even though I was from another school and another sorority. They were awesome :D

The AOPi chapter at Montana State has the nicest house out of all the fraternities and sororities on campus, and their numbers are starting to come back up. A few years ago they were the biggest with about 60 members, but now they sit at around 30. However, they won the best chapter award at Greek Week, so it just goes to show that biggest isn't always the best! Plus, my girlfriend is a sister at the chapter, too bad she transferred back home to Alaska :(

We dont have AOII at Virginia Tech. In fact, I had never even heard of it until I came to this board. I guess you learn something new every day!

Vanderbilt?
How about AOPi at Vanderbilt U?
|
we have an AOPi at DePaul (Chicago) and I believe its one of the smaller NPC chapters. They are a great group of women! I think they always win Greek week.

The AOPi's here at WKU may well be the best sorority. They're nice, fairly large, and successful at being active on campus, among other things. The "red-bag-toting bitches" is a term of endearment. My lil sis is AOII, and she's the mac and the cheese.
   look!!! a big tractor!! http://www2.wku.edu/~fhouse/images/39.jpg |
