Why listen to the one with no Man

I'm asking the oh so fine ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc. this question -mainly because you all are oh so fine :D ,but anyway why is it that women always seem to listen to the girlfriend who doesn't have a man  , can't keep a man  , and doesn't even know how to attract a man . When their is a conflict in their on personal relationship with THEIR MAN

Brother Aspire,

Believe it or not, after all of the dust settles, we ask ourselves these questions also. I think that most women would agree that most women with men tend to listen to these women who are without men because 1). they feel some kind of comfort; 2). they feel some kind of support; 3). they feel that the advice is being given in good faith; 4). they are EXTREMELY vulnerable at a time of crisis; and (MOST IMPORTANTLY) 5). it just sounds good at the time. When you look back at it, the MAJORITY of the time, 1). the advice is NOT taken or 2). the advice is only adhered to for a short period of time (in other words, the woman knocks off what she's told and sticks with her man). Heck most of these "menless" women won't even take their OWN advice. And even with all that's been said, Aspire, it all boils down to this...MISERY LOOOVVVEEESSS COMPANY!!!!! :) :) :)

Oh yeah, for the record, this does not apply ONLY to women. Believe me, I know of a few situations (one past personal situation in particular) where the "BOYZ" have done the same thing. It just goes to show that these types of scenarios knows
no gender (or race for that matter).

I can't answer your question, but just wanted to comment that I have never liked that "can't keep a man" line of thinking, as if getting and keeping a man is the be all and end all of a woman's life. Or, that a woman not currently in a relationship has nothing wise to offer her friends, who are currently in relationships.

I do agree with Discogoddess. Just b/c a woman is not with someone does not mean she cannot keep a man. It probably means she is smart enough to know when to get out b4 it gets rough.

In addition advice is advice. Just b/c you are not currently in a realtionship does not mean you do not have any insight on the situation. I have found that sometimes the best advice is form someone who is not in the same situation. That way you will nt have a pity party together.
