A Place To Live
Ok, so most of us move to a new state when we get older and get a job. My friend and I were discussing this the other night, and everyone from our group knows where they want to go. Some plan on moving to New York, others to Colorado, some to California...you get the picture. Where would you choose?
|
I've (we've) lived in Columbus, Baltimore, Milwaukee, Detroit and now in Denver. I've visited and had business in most of the other major cities in the U.S.
Frankly, there are good and bad things about everywhere I've been. At the moment, I hope to stay in Colorado. |
Well I have lived in CA all my life...so right after college I plan on staying here. I still wanna be in San Diego or possibly LA. But a few years after college if I don't have any attachments, I want to move to New York. I have always wanted to live in a huge city, and NY is a great place for public relations.
|
Hmm...good question. If we left Los Angeles, I would either like to move back to New York City, San Francisco, or Tucson. But seeing as how our immediate families live in L.A and Tucson, we're either staying put or going to AZ.
The best of all worlds would be to be rich enough to afford houses in all 4 places. ;) |
Oh good question! I'll prolly just stay in my multi-suburb of Downriver, 20 minutes south of Detroit. It's way hard to leave here. There are people who leave, and leave for good. But then there are people who never leave Downriver, or even their city they grew up in. If I had the guts to leave, I'd go to NY (I have family in Brooklyn and Staten Island so somewhere there). I'd be too afraid in Cali cuz of Earthquakes, and Florida as Hurricanes. Without Mother Nature, I'd move to either one in a heartbeat!
|
I've always wanted to live in Georgia, the Carolina's, or Virginia - I love that idea of warm weather, southern culture...everything but the hurricanes!
|
I would like to live in Arizona, or maybe Texas (or even anywhere that doesn't have snow!!) However, all of our immediate family is in Ohio so I will probably stay here.
|
I lived in Flint, Michigan for the first 24 1/2 years of my life and then I moved to Ohio with my husband a year and a half ago.
I would like to live somewhere in the area between Flint and Detroit because it would be close to all of my friends and family. |
I want to stay here in Florida. My family is here and the weather is good (besides the occasional hurricane and heat waves). Plus, I couldn't imagine getting up an extra fifteen minutes early in the morning so that I could warm up the car and scrape snow off my windshield.

everywhere
My immediate family is all located in Ohio and Michigan.
I, however, am a big city kind of girl at heart, despite attending a high school surrounded by corn fields. :p Currently, I'm in Columbus, OH which is small for me, but has a growing arts scene I really dig. (Plus I have some great friends from college that are still here). I have this odd desire to live in San Diego right now, but also love Chicago. I think I would love NYC or Boston, minus the snow, even though I haven't been to either. Internationally speaking, I would love to live in London (I have a friend living there now) and also really liked Berlin. In a perfect world where money is no object I would move every 5 years or so! |
TX
I would choose good'ole TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!
Ronnie :D |
I have no intention of ever leaving my home state, California. After all, when you've got everything you could want here, why mess with a good thing? :)
|
I want to move to Seattle. The *only* problem is that I would have to take the Washington state bar exam. Yuck.
|
I love Texas, but I would also love to live up north. I've always wanted to live in Boston, so who knows where I'll end up. One reason why I would not want to move out of Texas, I would really, really miss all of the cowboys. ;)
|
It depends on what is important to you. If you were into snow skiing you might want Colorado. For me climate, politics, and financial obligations are important, so Texas, Tenn., and Florida are all good choices for me. Maybe Nevada, but it tends to be a bit too dry for me.
