Alumnae Chapter Fundraising Ideas

We have a smallish alumnae chapter, but still need to raise funds to to donate to our national philanthropy and the local alumnae panhellenic. I'm looking for some ideas, that are appealing to women from new grads to 70 year olds, aren't over done, are easy to get organized and don't require buying something upfront and reselling. All ideas are appreciated!!

Our Junior Circle is also on the lookout for ideas!

How about a % night at a local restaurant?

Book fair at Barnes and Noble or manning the gift wrapping station at Barnes and Noble during the holiday season?

Yankee Candle does fundraisers, and no need to order any in advance.

Our alumnae chapter for years worked with two greeting card/stationery publishers. We maintained a catalog of available options, and marketed them to business owners, politicians, "celebrities" and others who send lots of holiday greetings.

For the past few years, we've done a chili cook off at a community rec center. Collegians have acted as servers, and bingo games with donated prizes round out the evening.

The San Antonio DG Alumnae did an "Antiques Roadshow" with local appraisers.

Our alumnae association has had good success with a holiday craft and food auction.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think we might check out the Yankee Candle fundraiser. With all the Scentsey parties lately, Yankee Candle is kinda 'new' again!!
