Elvis Lives?!?!
 

While trying to tune my radio to our local FM gospel station (the reception in my building is horrible, but that's another story!), I stumbled upon Atlanta radio station 99X. They were interviewing a Dr. Donald Hinton, a Missouri or Kansas pyschiatrist (sp?) who claims to be treating Elvis for depression. I came in the middle of the interview, but evidently there is some book that Elvis, who now calls himself Jesse after his dead twin brother, wrote talking about his life since his "death". They also interviewed a "dear friend" of Elvis' named Linda who swears that she talks to him at least once a month and that he will "come back" before the end of the year.

So, what do you think? Fact or Fiction? Is Elvis, as people have said for years, still alive?? The DJs SWEAR this is not one of their typical on-air jokes/hoaxes.

I forgot which of the comedians on Def Jam said this...but you don't ever hear of Black folk talking about "I saw Marvin Gaye in the mall!" :D :D

Why on earth do others insist that Elvis is still alive? I went to Graceland a while back and you should have seen the people crying over this man's grave! I was like c'mon now! And so to this purported news of his re-surfacing...I say c'mon now...let him rest in peace. I MIGHT believe that Elvis is alive when I see him. But with modern technology's visual imagery and stuff....I may not even believe it when I see it!

My husband was talking about seeing something on the news the other day--about how the guy has even more proof now than when the story broke last winter. I typed "Donald Hinton" into a search engine and found several links to his story (although not the most recent one). Interesting. I have no clue if the doctor is telling the truth but I wouldn't have blamed ole Elvis for disappearing.

Well, I dunno if he saw him, but I believe that his twin brother was Jaron and Elvis' middle name was Aron after him.

Why not cal himself Aron. Someone should have called in to ask if the jumpsuits are what led to his depression. If would have made me depressed.

StraightBOS, you are crazy for that! Anyway, if he is alive, more power to him. However, the IRS and Social Security will be at his door before he has time to stuff his butt into one of those tight jumpsuits! Can you imagine the publicity and money that story would generate? Forget everybody that you know and love in the music business because if Elvis comes back, "dem folks" are going to BLOW HIM UP! They will just have to bypass platinium and straight start a new metal category for him! (Isn't titanium a higher metal than platinum? If so, they will be banging out the plaques before his comeback single drops!) Elvis might even slip up and sweep the Grammys. They'll blow him up so much that he might win Best Rap Artist/Male! This is too funny!:D

I saw this on the news last week. The Doctor and the woman claiming to be his friend both passed lie detector tests. They also showed a picture of Elvis with one of Lisa Marie's children. The picture was analyzed and the man in the picture had features similar to Elvis. They also stated the Elvis's middle name was mispelled on this tombstone, meaning it's not really him in the grave. They claim there was a wax dummy in the casket. I don't necessarily believe this, but it would be a trip if he was really alive all this time.
