Never had a credit card, and never want one in the future. I don't even have a checking account.

If you use it right it can actually be good. I make a few bucks every year of my discover card. They give me 1% of all purchases and I pay the balance every month.

If you are responsible with your credit cards and use them like cash (if you don't have the cash to back it up don't use it) then you get a lot of benefits that you wouldn't have if you wrote checks or whatever.

I also, having worked in retail HATE checks. They take forever to write and are such a pain in the ass at the end of the day when I have to catalog every single check and then make copies of them for the store files. Be considerate and use a check card!
