I think that it is so sad that the body has just been found. I mean, investigators searched that park last May and found nothing, did they really search the park or skim through it? I know what her parents have felt like because my family was in a similar situation before but at least now they have closure. Gary Condit should be brought in for more questioning if you ask me.

I found this out yesterday at work while my boss was watching the breaking news. He lived in the Washington, D.C. and said that the size of the park is HUGE! The news stated that the park is 3 times the size of Central Park in NYC, so perhaps that's the reason that her body was not found the first time. Or maybe someone recently dumped her body there. I agree with KoolAid that Gary Condit should be brought in for more questioning, I think he KNOWS the TRUTH! Although this is a sad occasion for the Levy family, I think they do have some closure so that they can say goodbye to Chandra in the proper way.

It sounds as if someone may have dumped the body recently. They searched for her a very long time, and that particular park was one of the first places they searched.

I'm really curious to see how this investigation is going to turn out, and what they discover about the cause of death. My heart and prayers definitely goes out to her family.

Well, I watched Good Morning America today and the D.C. police are talking to a man that is in jail now for attacking two women in the same park around the same time that Chandra was missing. A reporter for a congessional newspaper was on the show this morning and she said that the police did not make that fact aware when Chandra Levy first became missing.

As for Gary Condit, I think he knows what happened to her and this is what I believe went down:

They had an affair. Chandra wanted more from the relationship because she realizes that she's pregnant. Gary tries to convince Chandra to get an abortion, but Chandra refuses. She threatens to tell everything to Mrs. Condit. He gets upset and either kills her or hires someone to kill her and dispose of the body.

I know the above scenario seems a little "Lifetime Movie"-ish, but that's what I think happened.

I think her body was recently dumped there too. If you think about it, it's kind of smart to put the body back in the place the cops already combed through (yet it's dumb b/c the body seems to have been in plain sight). I honestly think Gary Condit is being too secretvie and unhelpful to the police to claim he is innocent. Innocent people OFFER to help the cops in any way they can, and readilly and willingly answer ALL questions :mad:...It's too bad for him anyway, b/c his career is OVER!

My prayers are also with her family.. :(
