Great Greek Number
 

So I was on my university website, and just for kicks, I went onto the Greek Life website and counted the number of social grek organizations we have:
23 IFC Fraternities (1 additional on non IFC recognition status)
16 NPC Sororities (Ceres and Kappa Delta Chi are included, but do not participate in formal recruitment)
4 NPHC Sororities
4 NPHC Fraternities
2 Chicana/Latina Sororities
1 Historically Chicano/Latino Fraternity

For a grand total of 50 social greek letter organizations. To say the least, I was impressed. This is just the social GLO's, I haven't even tried to count all the honorary, service and professional GLO's.
What do other schools numbers look like?

We have at UCF:
9 NPC sororities (plus one this fall)
16 IFC fraternities (plus two more coming this year)
4 NPHC sororities
3 NPHC fraternities
2 Latina sororities

We have 34 social groups total.

NPHC only has 4 sororities. You were close though :D

Wow, I feel like I either go to the biggest school or you all have much smaller Greek interest. Here's another question, to get a better feel: What are the average chapter sizes? Our NPC's range from 40-90/100 and IFC is around 35-80 I think. Most of the houses are closer to capacity though, with NPC closer to the mid 60-70's. I don't know about IFC though, and I really couldn't tell you about the NPHC groups at all. The only one I do know is Omega Delta Phi, and they are about 15 men.

Why am I awake? My body does not seem to care that I have class at 8. Anyway, UF has huge Greek interest...I'm guessing most IFC fraternities have like 80+ members (but I have no idea) and the NPC sororities average like 150, with maybe half of them having 170+. My house has 160+ and it's not the biggest, to my knowledge.
