Whose House?

FarmHouse seldom gets confused with others due to our greek letters being...not greek. FH. but some independant people think that there's an agriculture fraternity AGR, called the FarmHouse. Others think that every party at the university farm are ours. Some thought our party house, just a house some FH members lived in, was the fraternity house, and still is our house. So they call the FH asking if we're having a party often. And often we say, "Yes, no matter what anyone tells you."

We have a respectable chapter of Farmhouse at Iowa State (I was rushing them as well). There is no problem with the Greek confussion here, because we also have two other Greeks without the Greek lettering (Triangle and Acacia).

There actually is a fraternity called Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) and they are primarily ag related. Now I'm on a campus with a FH chapter and an AGR chapter (as well as an Alpha Gamma Sigma, and an Alpha Gamma Nu, which are also primarily Agricultural) so there isn't any confusion between FH and the farming houses. However I could understand that if there was only one Agricultural fraternity on a campus they could be referred to as the Farm house...thus causing confusion with the actual FarmHouse you belong to.

BTW your chapter at Nebraska is really good...we finally beat them at grades last semester for the first time in like 20 years or something like that...

At my school, we've got a lot of Ag-related frats...Farmhouse, AGR, AXP, and Delta Theta Sigma...not to mention other organizations that don't use Greek letters...we also have Acacia and Triangle :)

What makes you think AXP is ag-related? Does your school's chapter have a lot of ag majors? On a national level, they have nothing to do with agriculture.

FH has an incredibly strong chapter at OK State. They consistantly beat people in grades and such (not sure about right now though). There's also an AGR chapter which has been very close and helpful to the Sigma Nu chapter there for many many years.

You're right, I was thinking of another house and I thought that's which one it was, but I was wrong...can't remember what the real house is though! haha :)
