True Story of Greek Unity

Here's a feel good story for some who may feel there is no unity among NPHC sororities:

Yesterday was the kickoff to our Greek Week. We were assigned to teams to create a banner that incorporated the themes: Greekstock 2002: Peace, Love and Greeks. Myself, an AKA, and a Delta decided to do our banner together! We cut out our letters and symbols. On the Dove was Peace, on the Ivy was Love and Greeks was on the Elephant. We cut out 3 little girls holding hands with dresses on in our colors. It was sooo cute and it was great working with them!!! :D When I get a pic I'll scan it.

I know there is unity among the NPHC Sororities. My chapter had an event earlier in the Sorority year with the Deltas. Although we are members of different organizatios, we are all Sisters!

Thank You Soror for sharing your story. I'm an emotional one, so I have little tears in my eyes. ;)

From what i've seen alot of us greeks both male and female have close friends or affiliate with other people on a friendly basis who are members of various orgs, so why shouldn't there be unity amongst us. There's probably more unity amongst us than we realize. Of course there are always a few bad apples, but for the most part I would like to think that we are better than that. I'm happy to hear that some people definitely know how to rise above all the pettiness and work together .

This story is a little sadder but shows true greek unity. Recently a member of KAPsi was jumped by a few guys do to mistaken identity. Me, one of my neos, and a soror were just coming down the stairs of the dorm and saw the cops there over the man, who was having a asthma attack. We stayed with him till the ambulance got there. The second we saw what had happened we got on the cell phones and called his bros & our fam. There was a better turnout at the hospital than at NPHC meetings. I think we had frat, sorors, Kappas, Deltas, and I think Alphas & Ques even came through. The 1st four I mentioned were there till about 130 in the morning. This is not to forget the fact that the next day was Black College Weekend @ King's Dominion that we were all going to. This story is what it's all about. Our letters may be different but we are still one family.
