Line Numbers

Hey Sorhors,
I have a question! We are always hearing about lines of other organizations being so big (especially at my schoool), and that is nice and all but is having a line 100 deep necessary? Are the girls on line showing true sisterhood? I know it varies from organization to organization but I would like someone else's opinion.

i am a 6 on a line of 9. some of us knew each other before we started and some of us were complete strangers. and it was hard getting to know EVERYTHING about my 8 ls', learning to have unconditional hood for someone i've only known for a few weeks, living with 8 other FEMALE personalities, and in the end TRULY loving each and every one of them!

if i was a #55 on a line of 100+, i dont think i would be as close as i am to my ls' now (6 years later).

i wouldnt say it wasnt necessary, more power to those that do... but i would never want to bring in that many at once. i'd feel like i was cheating them out of an experience that should only be shared with a select few.

Sorhor,

This is a good ole' question and I'm gonna give you my comments!
I personally am glad that I wasn't on line with a lot of women because let's face it with the large numbers a person has to deal with all of those complex personalities. I'm a strong minded person and I don't have a problem taking charge of a situation. Yes, I was number one because I'm only "5' feet tall and I'm kind of bossy (lol).

I guess to each his/her own...

When I was in school, it was not uncommon to see a #45 or #50 jacket on a member of BGLO. The big lines I knew of always had major drama (that I heard of from line members), so it wasn't for me, but I guess it works for some.

On the other hand, I have seen some solos come across who had no concept of true sister/brotherhood. Some of them always had to be front and center in the spotlight, and that does not always benefit the organization, either.

Like I said, to each his/her own.

Hi sorhors:

I can't imagine taking in a large line of women. It would be difficult to buy them all crossing gifts:) and the "intake process" would be a mess.

More power to other organizations who have these large lines but how do you manage a line of 45+ without compromising the process.
