finals disaster...
 

i was susposed to have my first final this morning at 8:00 am...i over slept. i woke up at 9:30, and raced to my class...no one was there. i searched everywhere for my teacher, but i could not find her. the final is for my italian class, and so it is run by the european studies department. anyway, i don't know if i will get to take it now. i called the department office, but nothing...i'm so pissed...FINALS SUCK!

I slept through a final before. . .hopefully you can take it during a scheduled make-up time that most schools have programmed into their final exam schedule. Things happen. GOOD LUCK and remember to breathe.

I once slept through a Spanish final, luckily the professor let me make it up. Talk to your professor, she might be more understanding than you think.

here is the latest...i called the department because my teacher does not have an office at SDSU. she also teaches at USD and UCSD. no one was there so i left a message. that was Saturday after i woke up and realized i missed it. then i called back today and the secretary told me that she had put the message in my teachers box. the only thing that sucks is that she did not know when, or if, my teacher would be back on campus. it gets better...teachers can no submit grades online-so she does not need to come back on campus. so i got her email address and sent her a letter. i hope i can get in touch with her!

Are there any TAs you can get ahold of? They usually know the best way to reach a prof. If she teaches at USD and UCSD does she have an ofc there? UCSD will be in session another month. Maybe you can track down her class and meet her there.

I had a roommate that completely flaked on the final date. She flew back the weekend after and took the test and flew right back home.

So what's happening? Are they letting you take it?

I missed a final two years ago because I thought it was held on another day. I look at the syllabus and saw that it was on the day that I missed. I went to the professor and he was kind enough give me a make up exam. It was a mistake and confusion, but it turned out well in the end.

However, five years ago I probably slept through a midterm exam and withdrew from the class during spring break.

I was the opposite during one mid-term. I actually took a mid-term an hour early with the wrong section (it's a class of about 200). I had looked at my watch and for some reason I thought it had said 11am which was when my class was... but it was really only 10am. It wasn't a big deal, but I could have used that extra hour to cram. I only realized it after I left the room and ran into a girl from my section outside of the room waiting for the class to be finished.

i have bio lab on fridays from 1200 to 300, so last thurs i stayed up til 530am, and i woke up at 1150 and im like "holy smokes, i have BIO lab today" so i threw some clothes on and walked into lab at 1203, lookin drunk as hell, but still got there when attendance was called.
