My badge held hostage by MIA sister
 

I don't remember if I ever posted this here. I let one of my little sisters borrow my badge during rush last September because she forgot hers and it was her first time on the other side of rush, yadda yadda. Anyway, she never would give it back. Then in December, she just up and left from her apartment one day, not telling her roommate (also a DZ) where she was going or why. She left while the roomie was in class. She cut off all communication with EVERYONE, including her boyfriend. Nobody knew where she was, and she still had my badge!

People called her, mailed her, emailed her...no response. So I emailed her a couple of times to her hotmail, which will bounce the message back if the person doesn't ever check it. Since my emails did not bounce, I knew she had read them. I sent her multiple requests for the badge, to no avail.

So last week, faced with the possibility that my badge could very well already be on ebay or something, I sent another email demanding my badge back because I needed to wear it this weekend for graduation.

Guess what came in the mail today?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooooo relieved! I don't know what I would do without my badge! I am staring at it now!

I need to order a new guard though 'cause the clasp is missing. It's not her fault though 'cause it was broken when I gave it to her. No biggie. I'll order it when I finally order the rest of my dangles...I think I will do that tonight :)

(I took it to a jewelry repair place today, but they did not have a clasp that small)

Did you ever found out why she just left ?? Did she leave school completely or just soror or what ? this girl seems like she's having some problems... at least she had the courtesy to send your stuff back. :D

She left school completely. We think she goes to community college now, since there is no way her parents would settle for her just loafing around. We think that she was using her rent/dues money for clothes, going out to eat, etc. and that's why she was unable to pay things. Her roommate told me that she was always bringing new clothes home, and new jewelry and CD's and stuff. So maybe that's why.

She is actually my grandlittle, however I treat her more like my little.

Hopefully she is doing alright, seeing as how she took off so quickly and without any sort of notice to anyone.
